Using BFS Gears (Sheng He Xiao Ju Glass Rod and Shimano Aldebaran 2016 with the Roro Micro Spool), I opted for a Home made bladed swim Jig to Find them fish in that nasty green water. Alternatively, you can use Z-Man Chatterbait Flashback Mini or the Mukai B-Chatter as those are effective as well!

Sup jimmy, some nice trout, never thought would go for a bladed jighead like a chatterbait, but makes sense they hit flashy spoons ect.. I'm kinda obsessed with the idea of a glass rod lol, I won't go into memories of PA again lol, today is opening day in RI but I'm not fishing til Wednesday, but overcrowded anyway, brother wants to catch a golden trout lol. thanks man! they are not that crazy when it's small. inline spinner flashes with some vibes too. So does spoons. I would say the chatterbait would vibrate more, but the flash is not as crazy as inline spinners and spoons as they kick up more angles and flash. But hey! it works great!!!! glass rod is pretty fun for open hooks and fast lures. I found it harder to catch fish when i had to do lift and drop to detect strikes and to set hooks. you need the thinnest and sharpest hook to work.. or treble hooks as the fish usually hook themselves. Hopefully your brother will catch a palomino one day :) happy easter my man!

I’m looking for a bfs reel mainly to throw spoons and spinners at stocked local lakes for trout. The lightest lure probably being 1/16th panther martins up to like 1/6th of an oz What would you recommend between the kastking zephyr and tsurinoya dark wolf? Or any other reel below $100 that won’t need a bearing or magnetic brake upgrade to cast those lures 20-30ft? Thanks in advance!

The dark wolf ultra will be your best bet! The zephyr is more of bass reel and be better for heavier lures.
