Very nice! If you happen to be in that area again: there is a road at the other side of the valley, the SP71: it has the same starting- and endpoint and is every bit as twisty and fun as the one you rode. Took me by surprise, as I just wanted to reach Passo Rolle and I didn't expect anything - but put a big smile on my face when riding it.

I’ve subbed your channel very recently. One of the best I’ve seen so far, here at youtube! You do have a lot of videos, so it’s going to take a while to watch them all. I hope you do get better and more confident, despite your injuries. About a year ago I’ve also had an accident while on my motorcyle (KTM Adventure 1050). Had 2 cirurgies done to my left leg in under 3 months. Got back to my bike 4 months later and the confidence was not there anymore. I’m ok now (mobility wise) but the mind plays tricks on me while on the road, sometimes, I’m a bit more confident now. But mine was not the same as your injury which caused loss of organs. Man, I hope you get to enjoy riding again, even with some degree of limitation. Your riding is very spirited, I love it, and when I’m on my couch I like to come to your channel and check some more of your clips. It helps that your camera is chin mounted on your helmet. It is kinda like training my eyes to get more confidence in reading corners! Big hug from Portugal! Stay safe and may your miles be blessed! Happy New Year!

A true Schaaf masterpiece! I loved the RAW series, but I equally appreciate you doing the hard work and research to find these amazing places to ride. Not to mention sharing the maps! I personally would be very much entertained by you taking us along in slower pace, demonstrating beautiful roads, more editing wizardry and excellent musical picks as seen in the past. Thank you for the best moto content on youtube so far and I'll stick around to see what's next!

That was an epic ride! 🤩 The road is perfect: it's curvy but not too much, so that you can keep a good pace and enjoy the fast curves. On some mountain roads, I think there are sometimes too many curves for spirited riding. I always feel awkward to think that. It reminds me the movie Amadeus, when the Emperor said to Mozart "There are too many notes", not being able to appreciate the masterpiece he had just listened... 🤔
@Schaaf7 жыл бұрын
excellent comparison!! Although personally I never came across a road which felt too twisty for the Little Honda. But with bikes less agile I'd definitely considered some passes I've been on as "too tight" in order to be able to fall into the zone! Merci Kiddo!

Was talking yesterday to a bloke with your attitude to rideing. Compound fracture to femur, L3,4,5 compresed and T5. Ruptured disks to go with it. Spinal process has a few breaks too. He will spend the rest of his life in pain, never make a full recovery. Exactly where you are headed. Overconfident and days are numbered. Death is no real consequence but decades with disabilities and pain is another thing.

@Schaaf7 жыл бұрын

I'd personally still watch RAW videos at a low pace as long as you enjoy making them. I love the alpine scenery and have always watched your videos for the scenery and the enjoyment you got from driving. If you don't enjoy making videos at a slower driving pace then you shouldn't, since the video would portrait that, but if you have fun driving at a slower pace and make videos I'll be here watching them ;)

Wow!!! What a road and what a ride. You really did save the best RAWtalia till last (or Italy did). For me "RAWtalia" ended at 12:05 not 9:16, i never skip. My favourite two? I'll have to think on that one. Over my life iv'e had many fantastic rides but i don't think any of them came near to this (since my spine problems i now know one never will). I want to say something good about post accident riding to try and cheer you up but i know it would be foolish and unkind. I wish you the very best for your future work and play outlook. I like your outlook on life and your sense of humour so as long as you have a channel i will be a subscriber. Good luck and take care my friend.

@Schaaf7 жыл бұрын
Danke, Onkel.

I like so many of your videos that choosing one is hard, I choose one of your edits, WINTER & MOTORCYCLES. I think it would be a waste of talent if you stopped filming or at least editing. I hope you'll find something you like can enjoy. A question concerning the 'zone'. How long did it take you to get in? When you had to slow down to cross a town, would it get you out of it? Since you started riding bikes, how long did it take you to get in for - the first one?

@Schaaf7 жыл бұрын
Also hart arbeiten ;)

Well I already had a '94 CB500, but after watching your vids I got even more excited about them and just bought aother one, a '00 CB500S :D I do however need two sets of new tires and I saw in the description you ride on 130/70 Batlax. Is this working well, since normally it should be 130/80?

ooh thanks for pointing this out! That was a mistake! I actually use the standard (80) sizes!

@Schaaf7 жыл бұрын

Hey don't let one kidney get you down. My younger brother had a complication at birth and had one kidney removed so his whole life is with one kidney. Don't worry about it bro. ride if you want to ride.
