@@tobiasfr3186 For the people not absolutely blasting the season for top spots, using your challenge rift mats to craft powerful items, then going the path of no level requirement as your second altar power will allow you to t6 the whole way through as you can just craft level 70 gear. Then you can just wait until monday to burn your challenge rift cache on that upgrade

At what point do killstreaks outdo just levelling in rifts for someone who is really bad at getting to like 300+? I generally have issues getting much above 100 kills right now (obv will be easier for s28) but I'm wondering if just getting multiple 200-250 streaks and dropping them would still outdo rifts or if its only getting the 500+ consistently that outperforms good ol rifts

Non CR cache. Hard game do bounty set (1 act not 5) Get lvl 18 unlock no lvl req. Make 42 weapon. Jump into t1 bounty set(1 act) max blacksmith t70 weapon. Took me 36 mins on non ptr. The t1 bounty set gives a DB if anyone was wondering.

@@savelsnakker Can't do a video but I did it as a wizard. I tested ptr but there is a 3x xp multiplier it definitely gets you the gold and mats. If lacking reusable parts make new char and salvage follower items quickly. The non ptr testing gets skewed too after 18 because I used a gem of ease to equip the lvl 40 weapon which gives a huge XP per kill multiplier. This actually makes it harder than it will be on season launch (to complete the t1 bounty set in 1 act) as you level so quick in ptr and using gem of ease you have no time to get gear really. it's pretty trivial though after doing that hard bounty set and getting to 18 and your diamonds as you'll be steamrolling mobs.

So 2 things.. I’ve practised a fair bit and I just can’t seem to get the massacres rolling like you do. In the space of like 8 mins you have managed to get to lv 11. I spent like 15-18 mins getting to the same level. I did some testing in the current season 27, with a new character and I would have though the XP buffs would have been more noticeable. Now I really wonder if you could beat the 26 mins with Necro. I think you would get close to 22mina

I messed up and took the xp pools before taking items have no item level. Now the requirement to unlock that one is One greater rift key and one deaths breath. Meaning: I can't use level 70 gear early. How hosed am I? Can I reset my PTR somehow? People if you do this make sure items have no level requirement is the second one take otherwise you can't do this.

the altar isnt per char its account wide, presumably this wasnt the first practice attempt so the altar was already on node 2 and he just simulated it by getting the material.

I leveled up the easy way, by clearing out Caverns of Frost while trying to farm Chiltara for the Gibbering Gemstone. Over. And over. And over. When I hit 70 I stopped and moved on to farming the first primal.

After lvl 18 you unlock gem drops, so you do a boss bounty at lvl18 to unlock node "C" with the 2 low lvl diamonds. (you need 2 diamonds to upgrade it to 1 of the next tier diamond at jeweler to unlock node) This node gives you no lvl req on all items in game for all seasonal characters. All his items show lvl 1 req because he has already unlocked it. He is just simulating a 1 to 70 with various characters.

Why don you craft a 2hand bow and upgrade it from rare to legendary and hope to get anything good. Then wear it instead of cubing? Then you have space to put something else you find in the Cube or leorics or reapers in cube.

with challenger rift cache u can get enough gold to upgrade the shop to max so u can craft lv70 weapons and armors. for this season they have a seal node that allow you to reduce level required to 0 as soon as u sacrificed 2 diamond gems which u can get at lv18 or above from chest ( which allow you to put on full lv70 yellow weapons and armors )

You're gonna really need to look at what you gain and what you think you're realisticly going to achieve. If you miss a few late powers that's not too big of a deal for the weekend. As unlocking the rest will take a lot of time.. (think neverending questions if they don't fix something about it and staff of herding). You can get a lot of power from the sub challenge rift cache notes and not thaaat much from the ones between that and say 24? I haven't don't a challenge less run in Forever. But it is a lot of power u miss in leveling. Lvl 70 weapon at 40(and 18 this season) blood shards, legendary effect, but also just the gold for NPC items it's hard to simulate chic you never look at gold haha

Yeah don't forget you need the bag to be able to craft level 70 gear. Unless you want to suffer leveling up the normal way, it is highly recommended to use the bag. For me personally its not even a question, as leveling up the normal way, suffering on normal difficulty with no dmg is a big fat no no for me

@@Robin92B You can unlok to enquip lvl 70 items. A lvl 70 weapon is 15 yellow blue and white (and 1000 gold). You can buy it before 70 and you don't have to check for lvl req either.

Not level 15, node 15. 1-70 you can only unlock 2 nodes. And node 15 requires a cache to sacrifice. But you can’t have a second cache until the weekly reset of the challenge rift so if you use the CR cache “as usual” when season starts, you have to wait until Monday to unlock altar nodes past 15. This is why blasters will probably level up saving the cache so they won’t have to wait 3 days or so to unlock nodes past 15. For 90% of people it will be way better using the cache as usual instead (and take the no ilvl req as second node).

I just did a hardcore seasonal monk test with a challenge rift cache. I gambled the mystic ally boots and got a leoric's crown early for 50% additional experience. Going on Master I was able to hit 70 in 2 hours 31min. I was FLYING, too. I have no idea how these pros do this shit. I'm literally watching it and I'm still flabbergasted. I suspect the PTR gives double experience and that's why he was able to do this in 38min.

With the PTR buff and unlocking the Altar as you go people have done 1-70 in half this time. This is why he didnt unlock the Altar in this test. When the season really starts we wont have the PTR bonus but we CAN unlock the Altar right away which effectively gives us the same bonus if we play this way and use massacre bonuses to level up. The real question will be using the cache or not. Using it means you get to 70 very fast but you get stuck at level 14 of the Altar until the following Monday, so thats 3 days of no Altar progression. If you save the Cache you can still get to 70 in a few hours and then progress the Altar all the way to the end before monday swings around. It all comes down to how soon you want to finish the Altar. THAT will be the real race and players like Rax will be saving their Cache to do it. Well, a lot of them will cheat by using 2 characters of course and a lot will do it the Team way but us regular players will have to choose what we want most.

Based on my testing the PTR XP buff is 2x XP so double Rax time and add a bit of time for running to the alter to get the 2 alter buff rax already has unlocked.

Youll loose like 6+ hours total without the cashe.... maybe more. I mean even if you leech and get carried by a group, Don't forget about the extra bountie mats, for cubing all 3 powers, the DBs are a prick to find at the start of a season haha, and the gold... I played d3 when it first came out... with out the cashe you'll learn how valuable gold is with out a boon haha.

@@billymaverick3327 10% damage, 10% ele damage, 25% elite damage, 25% boss damage, double DBs without crafted follower gear, resource on crit for 4 days. You need a RoRG for yourself and 1 for the altar so you're doing the bounties anyway. You can get a lvl 70 weapon + a few 70 items at ~lvl 30. Maybe even full lvl 70 gear by the end of leveling. Get LoD and\or farm your set and you're done. It all depends on how efficiently and for how much time you play in those 4 days.

I'ts insame how much more powerful the Necro is... I've got a time on Necro where I was lvl 18 after 4:55 without the CR Bag. Just grabing the follower weapon and going into Temple of the first born in T1 and one kill streak later... lvl 18. Then again... starting with a Necro is kinda cheating already.

@@chrismoore1372 corpse explosion is such a busted skill. from the time you're level 4 you're a god. You basically need to kill one mob, and then corpse explosion everything to death. And with the golem at lvl 13, you can create corpses at will, too for killing elite packs etc.

@@mattm8870 yeah few things, first, my bad, you need diamonds, and diamonds start droping at lvl 18, it is possible to get them faster, but like 1 or 2 lvl and its pure rng. second, its much easier to do this like " Hybriidzv1" said, just look in comments

I don't get the part where he was dealing tons of dmg before lv65 and then when he reset the game and started a new one he wasn't dealing as much dmg? Why is that? Are the mobs scaling with ur level or am I missing something?

When mobs spawn, they're stuck to whatever level you are when they spawned, not when you reach them. And they don't necessarily spawn on your screen. For instance, perhaps they spawned when he was Level 61. So by the time he got to the mobs, they were still Level 61. But on the reset, now they're Level 65, thus have significantly more health.

@@infinitum6666 This is one of the reasons why rifts are awful for leveling. Unlike regular zones, where there are multiple spawn points, with rifts, every enemy on the floor stays at whatever level you were when you entered the floor. So, every level you gain on a floor, you're gaining less overall xp now. You gain 5+ levels on a floor, and all of the sudden you'll notice you're no longer gaining any xp from killing monsters. Plus, throw into account that the floors can be huge, and you're just throwing away xp.

@@alexithymia6288 you can already move through enemies, by default. It lets you move through walls generated by mobs, negating the waller affix. Seems trivial but it’s a life and time saver for some builds.
