@@riot_octopus9266 he died from liver disease at the time his liver was basically not working very well at all. Doctors had told him that his time was limited. Essentially he knew that his time in this world was coming to an end. But like Ray Charles, the man wasn’t afraid of death or anything for that matter. Man lived life blind and became one of the best male and black male singers to ever live.

Thanks for the thrills, Ray, you gave me, in París 1991, with this song and half show you play this night. You overplay one hour showtime. Soon this night, after a few songs, i stop my greetings when i realize the públic greetings were hurting the music. We were very close each other and I still remember you saying "i want to hear him" (i was the only one who never clap or shout since i decide keep quiet fascinated by the músic )when you were telling to the worried chorus singer who came near you asking to end the show. And you gave us one more hour of timeless music ! While i was hardly able to dare breathing because my fear of breaking a magic moment that It can't be twice in life ! Unknowing if i might keep quiet or not ! At this time, i didn't know your sad brother's story, but i have no dubt this night you play for him . You never know how deep were my greetings but maybe you hear him and now you' re laughing together because your age differance as like time had never going by since your last meeting. At París 1991 you sang this song for me and we were alone while your brother was hide to me and maybe you could hear him i hope so strong. Thirty years and the same old thrills ! Thank you so big if It can be say.

Ray é demais. Me lembro claramente o meu primeiro contato com a música do cara, um gênio. Vi o filme dele influenciado pelo meu Pai, bem novinho, e desde então, me encantei totalmente pelas músicas. Pai, sinto tanto sua morte, e tudo o que me cerca, me lembra você: as músicas (em especial essa, que ele gostava tanto), a leitura. Me deixou uma herança cultural tremenda. É triste perder o amigo, o que caminhava junto. Espero vê-lo no outro plano da vida.

This was a refresher course of how the olden days had the time of their lives. In a slow pace. Snowy place. Or a sorry gaze. It's all the same to me. I shall handle it all for you. I'm sorry mama🥺🥺 I left you. I left you. It's not that I forgave him. And forgot your inside oh no. But it's about the sorrow. And the pain I feel inside. I kept on singin' I keept on singin' this song for u.

I love this version, always loved Ray Charles but my very favorite version of this is by Leon Russell, the composer of this beautiful song. He was such a gifted musician, that could do almost anything, from songwriting, to performing (great showman back in his prime) beautiful piano player and could play many other instruments. He was also a gifted arranger, producer and really knew his way around the studio. Two unique, brilliant artists.
@bradhuskers2 жыл бұрын
Your lack of understanding and intelligence is showing. Ray's interpretation is light years above Leon's. It's not even close. And that's coming from someone who has studied this subject longer than you've been alive.
@bradhuskers2 жыл бұрын
There are certain elite artists who interpreted the words of another writer, light years better than that writer. Ella Fitzgerald, frank Sinatra, Ray charles, elvis presley, etc....etc....etc.... They are extremely few and far between. Iconic. The actual songwriter couldn't even comprehend how great their composition could become. And these iconic ARTISTS have done this on numerous occasions. They literally turned the words of another writer into critically acclaimed masterpieces.

I've been so many places in my life and time I've sung a lot of songs I've made some bad rhymes I've acted out my life in stages With ten thousand people watching But we're alone now And I'm singing this song to you I know your image of me is what I hoped to be I treated you unkindly But darling can't you see There's no one more important to me Baby can't you see through me? 'Cause we're alone now and I'm singing this song to you You taught me precious secrets Of a true love You wanted nothing You came out in front When I was hiding But now I'm so much better And if my words don't come together Listen to the melody 'Cause my love is in there hiding I love you in a place Where there's no space or time I love you for my life You're a friend of mine And when my life is over Remember when we were together We were alone And I was singing this song to you I love you in a place Where there's no space or time I love you for my life You're a friend of mine And when my life is over Remember when we were together We were alone and I was singing this song to you We were alone And I was singing this song to you We were alone and I was singing this song Singing this song to you
