Just saw this. Very rare and valuable recording from his early days. Smoothly emulating the then-current style of Nat King Cole, Sammy Davis Jnr, etc. Before his coke-snorting days I would think, after which his material and delivery became a little bit wilder.

...yes his later hits had a more strained, raucous tone to the vocal - it's a bit sketchy but this one was either his first or second record depending on the source...

Quite an early one from Charles. I think I’ve come across this song before, but sung by another artist. Good sound quality for a nearly 73 year old record.
