Ray Comfort Reveals Stunning Biblical Symbols You'll See in King Charles' Coronation

Evangelist Ray Comfort believes the "fear of the Lord is key to entering God’s holy presence and receiving his blessings," and he believes embracing this reality is the key to gaining wisdom. "The Bible says the fear of God is the beginning of wisdom," Comfort said, appealing to Jesus' words in Matthew 10:28 (NIV). Christ proclaimed, "Do not be afraid of those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. Rather, be afraid of the One who can destroy both soul and body in hell."
Comfort, author of the new book "How to Make Sure God Hears Your Prayers ― Find Peace and Comfort in God’s Promises," said some "gloss over that Scripture" and miss what Jesus is proclaiming. "He's saying, 'If a man's coming at you with a knife to plunge it into your chest, don't fear that - fear God. And the fear of someone trying to kill you is nothing compared to the fear of God,'" he said. But, in some circles, there's a pushback on the idea of fearing the Lord. Comfort spoke about his own experience before becoming a Christian. One night outside of a dance hall, he recalled dishonorable intentions he had while hanging out with a fellow teen.
"I think it's the same problem that Israel had for many, many years," Comfort said. "And many times in the Old Testament, the Bible says they got into idolatry, they bowed down to idols. And the reason idols are so attractive to sinful human beings is because they don't have a moral dictate. An idol doesn't say, 'You shall not steal, you shall not commit adultery you, shall not kill you, shall not be a false witness." This absence of a moral dictate is something people find inherently attractive, as they can conjure up their own idea of God in their minds.

Therefore; repentance of sins is law keeping, and is certainly a lifetime of works, and has never saved anyone or contributed in *any* way to salvation. Ray Comfort talks grace through faith, says it's not by works, but.... immediately declares you must repent of your sins and trust Christ alone for salvation. How can you possibly trust Christ alone for salvation when you are also trusting in your performance? You absolutely can't. Ray Comfort has another gospel of faith plus works equals salvation nonsense. Repentance of sins is for service, not salvation. Salvation is absolutely free and not conditional upon service to God.

In my experience there are people that have been abused or neglected or traumatized and when we tell them to fear God it scares them and turns them away from God instead of closer to Him. Sometimes it is better to bring a soul closer to God by sharing the love and protection of God because where God is there is much Love, Grace and Mercy. There are many scared, traumatized people out there that need to feel the Love of Jesus.

I can ascertain that you are an obedient follower of a law teacher who knows the Gospel by which one is saved that we read in 1 Corinthians 15:1-4, and yet he denies the Gospel while telling unsuspecting people that they must obey the law in order to be saved. Romans 3:20 says, Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall NO FLESH be justified in His sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin. Ray Comfort not surprisingly also believes that a believer can lose their salvation, even though he knows that the Lord Jesus says in John 6:47, Verily, verily, I say unto you, he that believeth on Me HATH everlasting life. RC is one of the bigger wolves masquerading as a believer in the institutional church today! Who has ever listened to his sales pitch and heard that our salvation is THE GIFT OF GOD and that we are saved by God’s grace through our faith, and NOT according to the sins we do not commit or the so called good we do, that Ephesians 2:8-9 tells us? RC does not teach the one true Gospel, because he doesn’t believe the Gospel we read in 1 Corinthians 15:1-4. Do you?

I've always understand that the original Hebrew translation can mean 'awe' or even respect or reverence. I remember as a young boy I would sometimes misbehave and drive my mum crazy. Occasionally, as a last resort, she would say, " just wait until your father gets home." Even though my father never once hit me ( which I often deserved), I would stop my bad behaviour immediately. It was out of respect and the fear of not letting him down or disappointing him.

Exactly how I see it! I was terrified of disappointing my Dad, ignored Mom as much as possible! But I don't remember Dad ever hitting or hurting me, Mom in the other hand flayed me a time or 2! But it was the fear of displeasing my Dad that caused me to mind her! Even though they were apart & she trashed him at every opportunity. He refused to allow her to be disrespected. And would get after me for disrespecting her in any way! There was a Iot of reason behind it all I later found out, & due to my Dad's sins & repentance. But I have been able personally to comprehend that fear of GOD in the same way I feared my Dad! The 1 time I recall my Dad spanking me, I barely felt it. But the worry & hurt in him at the time, & disappointing him had a much deeper effect! I so deeply never wanted to disappoint him, I especially do not want to disappoint GOD/ABBA FATHER! Where my Dad is today, & my Mom will be in the future! As is my goal! Have a great relationship with Mom today thanks to the work of HOLY SPIRIT in her & me! By HIS GRACE, which is sufficient!

I think that I’m finally hearing two honorable Christian men say that fear means fear. “Twas, Grace that taught my soul to fear and grace my soul relieved.“ In the Old Testament, the words “terror of God“ is used. In the New Testament, the word for fear is often, “phobia.“ That means fear. There are plenty of Greek and Hebrew words that mean awe and reverence and respect things like that. Fear means fear. It means terror. We are described as being in the Lord’s army. I can assure you that the reason men run out in front of machine guns is because they are terrified for not doing it. They are afraid of letting down their buddies, being court-martialed, being deemed a coward. Stalin would put machine gunners behind the Russian troops and would shoot their own people if they retreated from the German attacks. That’s fear. Fear leads to repentance, holiness, and obedience. The fear for Christians is not to admit that we should fear God, it is to admit the masculinity of God and men. Men should not be afraid to be men. And people should not be afraid to let God be God. He is loving and awesome and terrifying.

The fear of God is the beginning of wisdom. Being raised by a Godly man, I can assure you the fear of my dad was an essential aspect of my obedience to him. Was he was a tyrant? Not at all! Did I know he loved me? Of course. But my fear of him was still fear. Literal fear. Not watered-down reverence. It was the terror of the consequences of being disobedient that kept me on the right path. How much more so for our Heavenly Father? Praise YHWH for His commandments! The fear of God is indeed the beginning of wisdom, and she is a tree of life for all who lay hold of her.
