UK Preacher Reported as Terrorist After Shocking 'Misgendering' Arrest Wins BIG

A Christian pastor in the U.K. who was arrested and found guilty of harassing and "misgendering" an individual who identifies as transgender saw his conviction overturned nearly two years after his legal nightmare first began. David McConnell was preaching in Leeds on June 8, 2021, when an interaction with this individual ignited a firestorm that landed him behind bars and battling to secure his rights.
McConnell told CBN's Faithwire he was preaching outdoors - something he frequently does in an effort to share the Gospel. "I like to set up properly. I like to be on a stand so people can see me," he said. "I use amplification. I preach in a way which is interactive. People can ask questions and engage." He recalled preaching for about 30 minutes on the day of his arrest when the individual in question purportedly approached him.
"As I was preaching ... there was a young in women's clothes with a friend who turned up," McConnell said. "Then I was approached with a question from this individual who asked the question, 'Does God accept the LGBT community?'" The preacher said he followed his normal protocol for responding, which is to say, "This lady or this man asked a question" before delivering his response. In this case, he said, "This gentleman's asked a question," but the use of "gentleman" for a biological man who identifies as female began to rile the crowd.
McConnell said people began to heckle and take issue with his framing, with the crowd demanding he affirm the person was authentically a woman. "I was just repeating back and said, 'No, I don't agree. This is a man. Let's move on. Let's, you know, deal with the question, try and answer the question,'" he recalled, noting the heckling eventually calmed. But little did McConnell know the situation was about to intensify. I’m with you on most of your comment. But I find this usage if “ standing firm” troubling. These words are from the Bible- however it refers to the Gospel. Spend more time sharing the Gospel and be very careful about everything else. Sorry but we are not told to stand firm in alienating people. I do realize this is terrible and unfair but we have GOT to stick with the Gospel of Christ and He told us to love one another. The only other thing He told us to do is “Love the Lord your God with all your heart all your soul, all your strength and all your mind.” So he Never told us to single out someone else’s sin. I am so saddened by what is happening now in England. When I first came here from abroad I was so impressed by the people who were tolerant and could just agree to disagree with you without it affecting your relationships. The sad thing is the audience got abusive and non of them were arrested for intimidating the preacher. I think the preacher should say that the young person was intimidating him in a counter claim as this is getting out of hand. The person who was cross-dressing was the instigator and at time like this they need to be referred to as "This person asked a question" to avoid these stupid confrontations.

He needs to address the arrests in his preaching and state that detractors in the crowd are willing to lie. He, also, needs to let everyone know that he is taping. Lastly, don't take the bait - which I suspect he already learned which is why they lie to get him arrested. Dude, I'm Christian too, but our religion is a passive religion. A religion of defense. And, personally, I don't know if there's an afterlife. In the dubt, I try to be as nice as possible, but if I would be targeted by pos, I would fight back, and not with prays. Even if I would just see you being persecuted.
