This is a NHL event and the Russian are allowed to play on there NHL teams and therefore should be able to play in the Tournament and there should be 6 teams Russia and the Chez. 2 Pools round robin play, 1st in Pool A plays 2nd in Pool B , 1st in Pool B vs 2nd in Pool B then the winners play, 9 games Total most anyone plays is 4 Games, Right now 4 Nations Faceoff 7 games in total 2 teams playing 4 games. These NHL Russian players game to Canada and the USA not just for the Level of hockey but a way out of that Country and shouldn't be penalized because of something they have know control over.

This tournament has no bragging points for the eventual winner It’s just like a regional tournament! It carries not weight whatsoever…. For me anyhow …..with 6 decades of history

This is just a placeholder tournament. They didn't even make a trophy for it. So relax and just enjoy watching some pretty stacked teams play some hockey. Should still be a fun watch.

I know Russia isn't there but I wish they put in a rest of world team. Then we could've seen the Russians, as well as guys like Leon/Stutzle, Kopitar, Necas, and those guys as well

I like Ray, but I’m boycotting this hit cuz they’re putting the Four Nations up front. Give the league a week off mid-season. That’s something I could get behind.

Cirelli is one hell of an effective player though. Even dating back to the World Junior days when I first saw him, he was the perfect penalty killer/4th line guy. I think he'll do fine.

@@ianmackie8959 Blaming Hockey players for something they have no control over might make people like you feel better but in actuality its a bad look for the game. Politics should be left out of sports! Besides... Team Russia would have dominated this tournament anyway🦾

@epants8507 Russia is finally getting their payback for a number transgressions they have participated in over the years both politically and socially. Steroids during the Soviet era were rampant and systemic cheating by athletes and those that controlled their system and please don't say the west were just as guilty we never got caught fixing the urine samples and all the unsavory tricks the used to mask their cheating.
