In 1979-1980 several influential leaders at Brooklyn Bethel were approaching their personal crises. They had to decide whether to continue following the doctrines and dictates of the Governing Body of Jehovah's Witnesses -- or believe the clear teaching of the Apostle Paul: "For all who are being led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God." (Romans 8:14)
