I was just a kid when I heard my Dad call my Mom into the room to hear Ray sing this many years ago. I never forgot that and when he was in hospice 2 years ago I brought my laptop to him and we played so many songs. A once mountain of a man physically was so frail then in his 80s. When this song was played in our list he once again called Mom into the room and they held hands during the song, as though he was singing to her. We played it over and over. He passed a few days later and she followed 2 months later after 67 years of marriage. A special song from long ago.

My husband must have listened to this song a thousand times. He was divorced. It was a terrible marriage between 2 people with different ethics and values. Although hubby knew it was what he had to do, it was extremely painful. He missed being there when his kids got out of school (night worker), and when they woke up in the morning. He would listen to this song and cry. Part of him felt like a failure for leaving. The relationship was toxic and K. was drinking too much and turning into a person he didn't like. This song was healing for him. When he met me, he quit drinking. We were married for thirty years (most of them wonderful). He was a good, solid, loving, giving and funny man who I had the privilege of being married to. I miss him. Thank you Mr. Price.

I grew up listening to these songs... When the time came for my dad to leave this world, he would play these songs over and over as he lay in his bed. I knew he and my mom had some ruff times but they stuck it out for over 50 years...I miss them dearly and listening to this brings them a little closer to me.... for the good times.

I close my eyes to listen...I remember my Dad singing, playing his guitar to my Mom. The look on her face, the admiration, their love shared through song. Dad's gone now and Momma is fading away but someday they will reunite and I can imagine this song playing as they hold hands together walking along their heavenly path ... God bless you Ray the incomparable classic country crooner. #sweetmemories 💞

My grandma just passed, we were extremely close. She was in hospice at my parents, and the entire family spent her last days playing her favorite songs. This one hit me so hard, so appropriate, so bittersweet. I weep as I write this because I truly feel her singing it to me now. I miss her terribly, so glad I have this song because I feel close to her when I hear it 💔

I remember sittin in the back seat of the car on road trips, my Dad would pull Mama close to him & sing along with this song, the look on her face made time stand still for them in that moment. My father had a really great voice, but only sang for her. Jim Reeves was another artist he would sing to for her. This music means SOO MUCH LOVE to me after growin up watchin Dad singin ta Mama like he did. Thank you, Mr Price ❤

I visited with Ray before and after his performance in Norfolk, Nebraska several years ago. He was a perfect gentleman, very kind, and humble. His musical group (I can't call them a band) was brilliant. His main violinist had concert quality skill. Yet, it was Ray's conversational, backstage demeanor that set him apart from other singers, in my opinion.
