He had the same basic comedy on E.L.R. Subtle but Gold. Little did he know standing here at 32 years old that he was going to go on and make a couple hundred million. He is still married to the same woman BTW and everything I have ever heard/seen about him is that he is a great guy and person. Legit!

That’s not completely true. When the show changed to 60 minutes from 90 minutes, he appeared four nights a week as opposed to his previous three, and towards the final few years, he was on a lot more often.

Actually quite sophisticated for 1991, imo. Predicted bluetooth earphones. By now we are all used to Ray’s material. It was like a 50’s sitcom where the parents are reversed. The mother knows best, and the dad is just another child for her to deal with.

I also liked the series he did after ELR, "Men of a Certain Age" from 2009 to 2011 with Andre Braugher and Scott Bakula as three middle aged friends who had been friends since childhood. Raymond was a divorced father, Andre a family man and Scott was never married, unsuccessful actor.

Saw Leno at an RX convention in 1991. One hour plus of straight comedy. Nary a curse word. Had 3,000 pharmacists rolling! As an aside, it totally sux about the Cos. Grew up with him as a kid and still have 4 or 5 lps that we wore out. To Russell, my Brother... Such a betrayal.
