I agree with the comments on the 'taking one for the team' foul., breaking up play. Here I think there should be an orange card. The player is sent off but he can be substituted using up one of the allowed 5 substitutes.

Makes more sense to me to get a centre back who can play left back as well. Gomez is already cover there. Spending that type of money on a left back who will only get games in that one position seems far less practical, concidering left back isn't really a priority position atm imo. Only way it makes sense if he's coming in to replace Robbo.

VVD looked slow and confused at times as the season went on. It's been worse during the Euros. I know it's sacrilege to say this but ... I am concerned for the coming season with VVD leading our line and being our D talisman. I see a decline in progress already.

Totally disagree with Neil that VVD kept his level throughout the season. Thought he was poor at the start, great in the middle, and poor at the end. He was terrible last season too.

I just feel we need a proper refresh. The old guard have a lot of trauma and I just don’t see how they can improve or push on. Especially robbo. We need to get ahead of the inevitable fall off a cliff and sell robbo. Sell kostas as well as he’s not good enough. Get ait noiri as first choice and use the academy for the backup. We have to be ruthless. We need new energy in the team. New hunger.

Robertson can still be a starter for another year at least. I would not buy Ait Nouri without first selling Tsimikas because one of them isn't going to get any games lol IMO we need a left footed CB, a RW backup and a top quality DM far more than a new LB

@@gylduran9217 robbo can’t play in a possession based team and can’t invert. He’s only good for running up and down the wing and his legs are going. Injuries are frequent now as well. There ain’t many good LB’s out there so if we can get the best one available now then we should. Sell kostas 100%.

Anyone who wouldn't hire Bielsa is an idiot. Man is an excellent coach and ... he proved it again on the weekend. I've never seen Brazil look that impotent. Regards the fouls, it's been pretty atrocious. I actually rather enjoyed the sheer mayhem, doggedness, and brass knuckles nature of the Brazil \ Uruguay prize fight but ... if you had to watch that week in and out, or tournament game in and out ... you'd tire of it quickly.

Ait Nouri is no fullback. He's a wingback and has rarely played in a flat back four at Wolves. Are people expecting Slot to employ 3 CBs? If not then why would we want Ait Nouri?

Gini Wijnaldum was a 10 and ended as a 6 for Liverpool. Players can adapt and wingback in a defensive system isn't that far from full back for a club who expect to dominate
