Lol I kind of feel bad for Ava because she was so clearly infatuated/in love with Raylan and thought of him as her knight in shining armor. But he never felt the same and while he cared for her, he was openly pining for Winona. Ava knew that too.

Ava was so annoying, always needing to be saved and acting out because Raylan didn't want to be with her. She was a petulant child who kept tying herself to the first man who paid attention to her. Once Raylan rejects her, she gets with Boyd. She's a loser.

I can't think of a more annoying woman for him to be with who also does not bring anything to a relationship. All she needs, constantly, is to be saved. Raylan picked wisely and married way up with Winona.

Can't say I agree with you on that. Every interview I've seen with him he's been perfectly cordial and I haven't heard any stories of him being a jerk
