I actually liked this more than most cause this is where you see the moral flexibility that Raylan did have to him when you see how far he was willing to go to get Winona off the hook for this bill. Only to find out it wasn't just one bill she took, she took em' all. The irony to all of this is even after the money gets put back by Winona and Raylan, with Art catching him after the fact (the first real crack in their relationship which would grow over time), the money ends up gone for good when the guy at the desk takes it and heads West.

Your comment just goes to show how little understanding of the situation you have. #1, you don't doctor evidence. Especially not if you're a government employee. #2, if you're smart you don't let your personal affiliations lead you into breaking the law. #3, if you do break the law, you don't leave a paper-trail and your fingerprints on the evidence. #4, you always have a choice between obeying the relevant protocols and the law, and breaking the relevant protocols and the law. This isn't "moral flexibility", this is making a very common mistake that has gotten a lot of good people into serious trouble, and the last thing that you want to do is become a US Marshall looking at federal time. So the real question here is who in Harlan County is not implicated in some criminal scheme? It sure as hell isn't Raylan, and if he's smart he'd come clean to his supervising agent. Now. But being a good ol' homeboy? That's the last thing that he's going to do. And that is what is going to send the Orange Cookiemonster to Federal prison.

Trump will never do a single day in Federal prison, not one.

@@touristguy87 What laws has Trump broken? Be specific. ALL of his cases are purely political because the democrats can't win a fair election. We are living in a fascist country run by the left. The Clintons, Obama, Biden are all far bigger criminals, traitors, authoritarians, fascists, & corrupt than Trump ever in his wettest of dreams. You are brainwashed.

Great summary. I love these episodes too. Raylan usually bends the law or interprets the spirit of the law to help people ultimately in the name of justice. Here is one of the few times where he goes out of his way to do something illegal all because he is in love with Winona. Similarly, his participation in the death of Nicky Augustine in S4 is for the same reason and crosses a line. When it came to Winona, Raylan's head turned to complete mush and I can't blame the guy.

I liked these episodes because it was a nice change of pace for Justified and still fit into the overall theme of Season 2. Best season ever too. It also shows how far Raylan is willing to go for the woman he loves. He is willing to jeopardize his career, the thing that defines him more than anything else, all for Winona. Love will make you do crazy thing, fellas.

I can see him thinking right now, "...I had to come back to Harlan County". Just goes to show the old adage, folks. You can take the pig out of the barn, but you can't take the barn out of the pig. Is there really any wonder why some folks are deathly afraid of anyone who comes from a town that they were born and raised in, but grew wise and ran-away from?

No matter how good looking a woman is after 10 years of marriage looks are far less important than brains.

Well that's the whole thing. He is always chasing her. She is always leaving him. Raylan ain't blind, he's never going to land a woman as beautiful as Winona.
