Rayman Origins: Nymph Mods

Here's a short video of some Rayman Origins mods I made using Texmod, a free program that allows you to save, rip and edit game sprites while leaving the original files untouched.
These mods feature Ly, Fée de la Mort and the Unknown Nymph/Wendy Weather, who never made it into the game... and some extra stuff at the end. :)
Sorry for the occasional lag. I wanted to record these at
a higher resolution but my laptop can't handle anything over 480p.

HOW TO RUN MODS
---------------------------------
To run the mod files you need a program called Texmod, which you can download from here: code.google.com/archive/p/tex... (select the texmod zip file at the bottom of the list).
1. Open Texmod and click the large yellow folder icon in the top left corner. Select "Rayman Origins.exe" (usually found in C:\Program Files (x86)\Ubisoft\Rayman Origins\).
2. Select Package Mode in Texmod, then select the mod (.tpf file) by clicking the small yellow file icon to the right.
3. Click "Run" and the game should load with the selected mods.
4. Enjoy! :)

I wonder why the Creators that made this game didn't bring in Wendy Weather if she was supposed to be Helena why didn't they add both of them in the game they could have made Wendy Weather and Helena twin sisters but one of them has a different hat different clothes and different hair it would be really cool if 7 Nymph and 2 extra places in the game, nice video I really like this game this was my first and favorite Rayman game i played with my brothers a long time ago😄.

Hi I doubt you’ll ever see this but if you take requests for nymph mods, I was wondering if it was possible to make Panty and Stocking mods where you mod two nymphs to look like Panty and Stocking in their angel outfits, and maybe Scanty and Kneesocks too in their demon outfits. Also maybe a Monster High character mod, Venus as Betilla, Lagoona as Anetta etc. but if ether of those are too hard to do I understand. You don’t have to do them, I was just wondering ❤️

+Random Guy Just re-checked and it's actually called "Moskito's Rage". I accidentally mixed it up with another track, I just remembered it had "Moskito" in the title somewhere. ^^' That tune plays during the fight against Bzzit the Moskito in Rayman 1.

How do you do These mods

I use a program called Texmod to make a copy of the sprites I want to change, then draw the new sprites using Paint Tool SAI. Then I use Texmod again to make a texture pack containing all the new sprites. When you launch the game using Texmod it temporarily replaces the games original sprites with the modified ones.

It might be possible, but it would be very difficult because of the Nymph's body shape. The mods only work for the PC version of the game so they wouldn't work for the Switch.

I don't know how to change sound effects so had to use in-game ones... and nearly every sound clip in the game is in Pig Latin, so I didn't have much choice.

Yes. They all do. All the characters in the game speak pig Latin if I'm not mistaken, even the bosses once they revert to their original forms. Sorry it took months until someone finally answered you.

There's a Rayman 1 Nymph mod in my playlist where I tried to give them more classic style dresses: kzbin.info/www/bejne/e4q9iqeHjK2DeKc but it's about three years old now and has quite a lot of mistakes. I originally wanted to give them more princess like dresses but unfortunately it didn't really work as the game wouldn't let me change their basic body shapes.

+Tomasz Błaszczak I used Betilla's voice because this nymph doesn't have any voice clips of her own. This nymph was supposed to be included in the game but was removed during development. No one knows what her real name was going to be. Sometimes she's also called the "Unknown Nymph".

If you've seen some of my other videos and comments you'd know that I'm not interested in getting lots of subscribers or in making "clickbait" videos. My output's so low due to health problems these days I wouldn't know what to do if I had loads of subs anyway. This video was pretty much an experiment as I'd never done mods before.
