I decided to start implementing sliding mechanics/animations today. This area will be the outskirts of Band Land, sliding along some slippery sheet music!

It's not much but this looks very satisfying, epecially with that atmosphere, so relaxing

Tbh Ubisoft should just hire you to make this the next Rayman game. This is a masterpiece.

Man that music is so nostalgic. I remember when you used a sped up version of it for your WIP rag dolls video. Game looking good always, I can’t wait to see what your finished band land will look like.

lol that video 😅 This is where the track plays, now you have context after all that time!

@@rayfan9876 yeah, it took a while but we got there! Keep up the good work Ad, this game and my anticipation for it was a part of my childhood and I really want to see it completed. Let me know if you need an Italian/Japanese/Spanish translator on the game. I’ll be studying these languages at uni in the coming years so I’d love to help out.

My favourite mechanic! Now we just need some objects around the slide whizzing past to enjoy how stupidly fast we're going... Can't wait to see more :D P.S. Love the animation poses! It's subtle and effective

this mechanic seems great for bringing the player across some truly awe-inspiring set pieces

I hope this will have lot of minigames added in it. Because you can possibly do more characters.

Your game always looked more like an epic daek fantasy cartoon or movie more than a game, I mean for me, the music, the art, the colors, is like something I really want to see animated in a cgi or at least a classic cartoon movie

Praying to god unity reverts these changes. I've been looking forward to this project for years and all of your hard work would be all for nothing
@rayfan9876 Жыл бұрын
Oh, those monetisation changes won't affect this project, so there's no need to worry.

@Rayman Potatoes Honestly, I'd probably take a job if I was offered one. I get the gist Ubi's probably better to work for than a lot of other AAA developers, even if many of the same issues can still be present at times.

Heh, smoothest sliding i've seen in any Rayman game, hopefully it's more graceful than Rayman 2's sliding, shit got finicky af sometimes xD
@rayfan9876 Жыл бұрын
lol yes, it's much less weird! It controls like a snowboard making carving turns, so it's very simple to understand the physics.

Small question but will this game be more comedic like Rayman 3 or more serious like Rayman 2?
@rayfan9876 Жыл бұрын
Definitely more serious!
@rayherostudios8139 Жыл бұрын
@@rayfan9876 Like even more serious than Rayman 2?

@@rayherostudios8139 I'd say quite a bit heavier tonally/emotionally, but not in an edgy way.

@@rayfan9876 o boi dis gon be interesting Edit: Is it going to be pure serious or will it have some light moments?
@rayfan9876 Жыл бұрын
@rayherostudios8139 Some light/heartwarming moments, but probably nothing outright slapstick. While you meet plenty of characters, since most of the game is spent alone, the atmosphere is very contemplative. In serene areas there's often a sense of underlying tragedy, and in sad moments, a sense of underlying beauty, especially in the environment.
