Raymond Singer, Ph.D., board certified by the American Board of Professional Neuropsychology, with Added Forensic Qualifications, and a full member of the Society of Toxicology, specializes in evaluating the effects of toxic substances on nervous system and behavioral function. He has adapted available technology and methods in behavioral and neural science to applied problems of toxicology, helping scientists, doctors and the public to understand the extent of toxic illness in our society.
His vita shows over 125 books, papers, presentations, abstracts and workshops to his peers and to the public on toxicology-related issues, including presentations to the Society of Toxicology, American College of Toxicology, International Neurotoxicology Association, National Academy of Neuropsychology, American Academy of Forensic Psychology, American Chemical Society, World Congress of Pathology, International Congress of Occupational Health, World Congress of Biological Psychiatry, and the World Health Organization.
Dr. Singer also communicates neurotoxic science to non-scientists, including courts, juries, citizen groups, radio audiences, etc. His opinions have been accepted in numerous state and federal courts in the United States of America regarding disability claims, personal injury matters, and criminal cases, including death penalty cases.
Dr. Singer has served as an expert witness in numerous landmark cases, including the Vietnam Veterans Agent Orange litigation-- wherein he testified that herbicides and dioxins damaged the veterans' nervous systems; the Shilling case in Ohio, wherein the Ohio Supreme Court unanimously opined that a neuropsychologist can testify that plaintiffs' multiple sclerosis-like conditions were due to gasoline poisoning; and the Bonner case, where his innovative forensic methods were upheld after exacting scrutiny by a Federal Appeals Court.
Governmental and other agencies that he has assisted in toxicological matters include the United States Department of Justice - Environmental Crimes Section, and the Federal Bureau of Investigation. He was employed by the National Renewable Fuels Association to inform the United States Congress regarding the relative safety of alcohol based- versus MTBE based - fuel additives. (Against Dr. Singer's recommendations, MTBE was introduced into the US energy supply, only to be found years later to be a persistent and troubling environmental pollutant, now banned in at least 15 states). He has presented written testimony to the Subcommittee on Investigations and Oversight of the Committee on Science and Technology , United States House of Representatives, regarding neurotoxic substances at home and in the workplace.
Dr. Singer has assisted German Federal lawmakers regarding neurotoxic chemical problems in our society by lecturing in The Great Hall of Parliament, Wasserwerk, Bonn , funded by and upon invitation of the German Federal Government, SPD Bundestagfraktion.
Dr. Singer was awarded the Doctor of Philosophy degree from Washington State University in 1978. He had been a USA National Institute of Health Post-Doctoral Fellow in Biological Psychiatry, New York University School of Medicine. In addition, he had been a USA National Institute of Health Post-Doctoral Fellow in Environmental Epidemiology at the Mount Sinai School of Medicine, New York City, under the direction of Irving J. Selikoff, M.D. (a prominent and pioneering public health scientist and doctor who revealed the widespread toxicological problems of asbestos and other low-level pollutants).

I think the family’s should get involved and get educated about the side affects and horrific withdrawals they may go through getting off them. I’m a survivor of PAWS. I m well aware of the flaws within the medical industry. I’m suffering with ptsd from learning about what Doctors DON’T know about these drugs. The speed in which they prescribe these drugs is crazy.

Klonopin = 33 years, Effexor XR = 18 years, Topamax = 13 years. Nearly 5 years off Klonopin and nearly 4 years off the other two. It never ceases to amaze me how ignorant doctors are and how evil the drug manufacturers are. Insomnia, paresthesia, body aches and sensitivities........ Good luck to all of us who survive this hell.

I'm a veteran, grandfather, and landowner, and I was committed for public speaking and my religious beliefs, and put on neurotoxins, and am sick, years later, and have been trying to get an appointment for about two and a half years, and the VA hospital has been giving me the run around, and cancelling my appointments, and I have tried two other hospitals, and I can only talk to my psychologist at the VA, and he said, "I don't know what to do about irreversible lithium neurotoxicity", and won't give me a hint what to do, or how to get seen to get a diagnosis, and treatment. I can't sleep normally, can't move around very good, sitting in a chair, have trouble and pain when I initially try to swallow liquids or food, and I can't get any help or advice. I have no support from my family, am disliked because I have different beliefs and interests, so I don't have anyone to ask, and could use some advice on what I can do.

I agree about a persons diet playing a massive role on a person's mental weobeing,it's his views on what a diet should look like that's a massive problem, notice he didn't include animal products which is a species appropriate diet, we're omnivores who have always went towards carnivore... This who blue zone dietary non sense which keeps getting debunked is becoming a issue not to mention nutrition scias it is is complete BS, with studies being theory based, poorly measures such as epidemiological and observationally reported on, doctored studies and or bought and paid for in order to proclaim a narrative, nutrition as a whole has been lieing to people for centuries now, is it any wonder our mental health is so down hell vegan diets center around malnutrition, known for giving depression and anxiety

If you happen to see this, would you feel willing and up to elaborating on your nerve damage? I've got issues myself and I'm trying to find more information. I suspect, very strongly, that these issues - which have become more debilitating every day - were caused by long term use of psych drugs. I'm not even 50 years of age and my quality of life continues to slide down. And there's no help except "well, let's try this drug". Informed consent is lacking in the general healthcare system and especially in the psychiatric system. ( I live in Ontario, Canada btw.)

Help! Need help right now! My doctor put me on 10g diazepam in September for intractable pain. By January it turned on me.. I was in his office. Not not doing very well. Told him my symptoms.. nurse said it sounded like protracted withdrawal.. I said no that's not possible I'm taking it like I'm supposed to.. I told the doctor I think it's too much. He said quote: "oh just cut it back"😩. Well that was the worst thing in the world he could have said.. I've been in distress now since January, this is March.. my entire nervous system has been deregulated.. my blood pressure is going up and down, heart rate is all over the place, my entire intestines are locked up. The pain that I had in my body to begin with is exponentially worse!. Please I need help now.
