There are hands full of videos on "Tube" about Android screens for Benz but no one has the deep knowledge or language barrier (English) and details explaining as you did on this video. Please help Raymond! CANNOT get the sound to play out of the speakers. I followed the instructions and I also cannot get the stock control Wheel to control the radio! When I cannot to Bluetooth And hit play, the car only continues to play the stock Radio. I cannot figure out how to get the car to switch over to playing The screens content ! Please help me. I’ve been driving myself insane. My car does not have Factory nav or factory aux. I left those two options unchecked I chose aux as connection method. The only thing the wheel controls is the AUX menu But when i switch to radio the wheel stops controlling g. I hope the all makes sense ! Thanks very much

Hi, I am very impressed by this display. I own a 2008 w204 with the most basic head unit - audio 20. Is the one with the small screen and has no multimedia display, no navigation, no bluetooth streaming (BT is only for phonecalls) but it does have the aux input jack in the glovebox. Will I get all the fancy functions like the door open or headlights indicators or the A/C settings displayed? Also, how do you get sound from the display to the head unit? Does it use BT or from the aux input? The aux input sound volume on this w204 is pretty low. You can barely hear what is playing. How does it work with this display?

+Hector David Salinas yes you will get all the fancy functions and the AC display. For your car the Bluetooth is projected through the factory AUX. You can increase the gain on the display which will make it louder without cranking on the volume knob. There is a special cable that is included that goes in your glove box. I will be making a follow-up video that will show case some neat tricks and answer more questions.

I have a problem when I enter to FM/CD when I enter this option...I can not control any option of the orginal display because the courser just jump automatically alone between the options like a key stucks somehow and no way to navigate between the options there it is going up and down by itself ....any clue from anyone here will be appreciated ..I need to use the original display to adjust the clock and date ...😢

Your installation video is great. Made my life easier installing my screen. A couple of questions if you don't mind: 1. Radio is not auto muted with incoming calls (connected phone). 2. Couldn't pair my OBD II device through BT. I can see it BT menu (secret menu) but doesn't pair.

I installed an android 10.25, square corners on a GLK w204 model 2009. Connected to aux. The iPhone connected via bluetooth with the android unit. Later I installed a Dongle Carlinkit Wireless Apple CarPlay, which I use connected on bluetooth with my phone. Do I have to connect my phone to the android unit and Carlinkit at the same time? If I do this over the CarPlay interface in case of a phone call the android call appears. If I disconnect the android unit from bluetooth, in order to have sound I have to switch from Command to aux and this is how the radio no longer works. suggest?

You showed a lot of features on yours he did not but both have the same problem with the MPH and ºF, only difference I see is his you swipe to get out of screens and yours you have to tab on the back or home buttons. Only major difference I saw is the price

Hi Raymond! Great video. I've been conemplating this purchase, but never found any good info, so thank you for posting!! Questions. You said this is better than "some of the other knockoffs out there.." So, what brand are you recommending, and what are the brands that are knock offs to avoid ? And, is it a hassle to always turn on and off your hotspot everytime you get in the car, or is it better just to use Phone Mirror, anduse the cell phone for all the functions? Do the reverse guidlines work, or do they not move as your reverse and turn the wheel? Sorry for all the question, but your input is much appreciated :-)

Bottom line I found if the price sounds too good then it comes with missing parts. CKM is the distributor for CARLIFE which is the original manufacturer. No it's not a hassle with Android since we can set trigger if car Bluetooth is on then turn on hotspot.

Hey Ray You can switch to miles and to Farenheit you have to go to settings and give a password (usually 12346 or 126 or 123456) Be carefully though you can mess things up there.

Raymond Urias usually it is in settings and then either car settings or extra settings then you have to add that password then just surf between tabs and you will see what you are asking for just dont change anything else except the mile and temperature unit

Or just ask the seller they usually tell you how to do that. But keep in mind sellers are chinese they dont know english very well and you will have to read carefully what they are telling you and even try to "decode" what they meant with a particular word

I installed this system yesterday and I've a question: before installing on my this system on my 2008 C220 I used a bluetooth adapter hidden in the glove box, paired to my phone and selecting aux output (my old NTG command is not natively capable to stream music via BT). Do you know if it's possible to pair the new android display system with my bluetooth adapter or it's mandatory to plug the jack adapter from the main cable that comes from the command system?

Hi Raymond, I just finished to install the system, all my problems were caused by the A/B connector that shall be connected to the B instead of the A. Now everything works at its best! I have two tips to share with other users/potential customers: the first is about the first removal of the oem command system, you have to pay extreme attention while lifting it because sometimes the cables in the right lower rear angle are blocked by a small metal wing, even a small pull can damage the cables; it's enough to pull allowing your hand to enter from the bottom side then unplug the main connection on the lower left angle allowing the system to be pulled out with no hassle. The second one is related to the aux cable placement: I've dismantled the gloves box removing the footwell panel screws then the gloves box screws itself, the aux cable passes through the small passive vent in the inner center of the gloves box, removing just one plastic row is enough (is a small sacrifice but is not noticeable at the end). A big thank you to Raymond for the useful video!

64645321 I personally don't have an iPhone but it's not difficult. Go to settings on your phone and click mobile data. From there set up your wifi hotspot name and password. Then connect to it via your screen settings

The manufacturer could be any lil old Chinese guy and getting hold of him is impossible. I recommend downloading on your phone Google translate and hold it up the screen and work your way over to settings and change it to English. Lol that what I have done

First, your videos really, really help...the missing manual, per se! (I searched high and low for an actual manual, but could not find one...yet.) Before seeing this tutorial, I had it installed in my 2015 GLK-350 by someone the local MB dealer recommended. He did a great job, but he did what you said not to do...he reset it to factory settings! You said not to do this numerous times...now what do I do to correct it? (I also installed a CarPlay usb dongle that I am still trying to perfect for my iPhone.)

+D Huber the resin I say not to do that is because for some weird reason it turns the keyboard into Chinese and makes it very hard to figure out what the hell you are typing lol. How is the car play working out? Chris has an updated carplay dongel coming soon

Yes, it has some Chinese buttons even when set on English...I have no idea what they mean! :( Otherwise I love it...thanks to your videos, I can now fully utilize it!

If you're listening to a streaming music app like Pandora, Spotify or iHeartradio, what happens when you turn off the car and turn it back on again? Does it restart playing or do you need to launch it again?

+forevr5688 just tested you do have to reopen the app, you don't have to login. Just click the app and it starts playing again
