I always found it funny how in original Gen 3 games, Groudon had a small piece of land while Kyogre has the entire ocean backing him up.

I know right? Their fight scene in that game places Groudon on the Hoenn Region's tiniest island, barely big enough to hold him, and Kyogre has so much ocean around him. I just remeber seeing that first time I played Sapphire and went "Yo, Groudon, maybe just say you're sorry or whatever 'cause I don't think you've got this fight."

Yeah, to much up scale. I said to the reason I like this game is because the forces of nature and wildlife are the theme still, and being the vary best. Literally every type of science fiction thing has always been in Pokémon but I always saw that as the center aspect.

By the time they got to gen 3, GameFreak already covered most of the nature-based concepts. They even had a time traveller in Celebi and an alien virus in Deoxys. After that they had to shift to a more spiritual approach to their legendaires... So they chose religion for gen 4, which is a great transition to the later games where they had a spiritual/folkloric approach until gen 7. Gen 8 and 9 legendaries feel like spin off additions lol

The interaction of the Hoenn legendaries will always be my favorite. They had a believable struggle that put them at odds with each other, and the stakes were high without being “10,000 years of dahkness!” Rediculous.

Same especially as it was such a new and cool concept in Pokémon games. In the previous gens the legendaries were super powerful Pokémon who just sat in caves doing nothing. Yet ruby/sapphire made it far more intense plus the fact they were sealed away added to their mystery and allure.

You know this is how we tend to see it. Personally I just imagine they do this to get Team Aqua and Magma to leave them the heck alone. They definitely have average sibling squabbles, which are basically normal tsunamis and earthquakes, but other than that I imagine they get along decently. Rayquaza is mostly that older brother who ensures the sibling fights don't get out of hand, but is 100% on board with messing with the humans. They never let it go overboard, at least not normally. The Primal forms are a bit more unhinged and actually concerning, but again, Rayquaza (being older brother) deals with it and makes sure things don't end badly. Plus, while sand castles and water don't work well together, you can make moats for a sand castle. It's weird how earth and water work together in some ways and against each other in other ways. But overall: they're siblings. They're friends sometimes and other times they have their classic sibling moments. Rayquaza is the older sibling who keeps the other two in check.

I find it funny how Kyogre never mentioned the fact that erupting volcanoes keep making new landmasses, which in turn, encroaches on his territory. So yeah... Kyogre keeps eroding Groudon's lands. Groudon keeps burying Kyogre's oceans beneath his landmasses (burying water, now THAT'S an interesting concept). And Rayquaza is caught in the middle. At least until Deoxys shows up. 😅 -- Deoxys: Hey guys, what's happenin? -- Rayq: Oh my gosh, Deoxys, how many times do I have to say it? The craziest thing is that battle had them appear to fight on equal terms. Kyogre had the surrounding ocean, rain, and type advantage, but Groudon was still fighting on Kyogre's level. Kyogre needed those advantages to just match Groudon in power. Sorta matches this argument, in a way. Kyogre needs all the dirt he can get on Groudon.

Your analogy at the end doesn't really fit as in this Kyogre doesn't need the dirt he appears more to be trolling Groudon. His insults seem to hit a lot more (the sediment one for example) and the fact he literally started this argument for no reason other than to fuck with him.
