My advice, don’t buy a switch lite, mine has drift after 20hrs of BOTW, being returned Saturday. Looking out for a 3ds xl or 2ds locally for a good price instead.

If they discontinued the ds line, I would be absolutely crushed and I hope Nintendo never decides to do that. The dsiXL was my entire childhood, so I'm a bit biased but my point still stands.

You can easily pick one up for $30-$50 pre-owned, even on eBay, I'd definitely recommend you buy one of those over getting a brand new one

Not sure about the model you have but I bought a New 2DS XL in June of 2019 and I love it. I have so much fun with this thing, even though it’s outdated by now. I want a Switch but I’ve been holding off cause I have a library of cheap games I want to play first for my 2DS XL.

Would you want the switch lite or the regular switch & dock? Also whichever you choose, please don't get rid of your 2ds. You'll want to revisit games from time to time.

I actually just got one. I got a Switch with dock but was eye balling the Lite. But don’t worry, the 2DS is still getting lots of love. I play Switch at home and 2DS at work (on breaks) so both are getting their use. :)

Agreed. Still love the 2DS. They're great for local multiplayer (cheap enough to buy a couple and with lots of games supporting download play, price point to setup local multiplayer isn't too bad vs say a Switch). Also love that it actually had useful points to attach and use a wrist strap! Really wish the Switch Lite did this as well. Edit: stylus placement and design is great too

I recently replaced my old uncomfortable 3ds with this model which is blue/black. I was happy for hours but then I discovered that even though I had some flaws with the original 3ds, it was a long time. That means the memories are kind of gone. I almost cried because of that but you need to know, moving on is the only thing that's possible if your model is a bit broken. You will get used to it later on. Right now, let it all out.

I have all of the ds models and when it comes to comfortability for a long play through or form factor, I ALWAYS choose my 2DS simply because it fits my hands really well. As far as portability I still my DS Lite or DSi. I have an R4 card with all my games which is why I'm able to play any of them.

I honestly In my opinion it’s so worth buying the price no more broken hinges that happens to most ds I am a careful person my last 3DS broke so I bought the 2ds crimson red love it and bought 200 in 1 rare nes multi cartage on eBay so fun and worth playing lots of entertainment so I prefer the 2ds over any ds now definitely love how it feels in my hands to comfort when playing games.

I bought a 2ds a year ago because of one of your videos. I absolutely adore this console. And I too love the form factor. I love the large library of games and I love that they even have remastered super nintendo and 64 games available in the ds lineup. I have enjoyed the console so much i just picked up a 2ds xl before the prices go up when they get discontinued. I wanted to have a backup console in case mine ever breaks. Cause as I said my gf and myself both adore this console. And we both think older games are funner than the new stuff. For me though its still 99% nostalgia.

I got mines in like 2018.... I actually didn’t play it a lot so it’s still great! I’ve rediscovered it during lockdown. Before that I had a Nintendo dsi from when I was younger that lasted me for absolutely ages, it still works but unfortunately there are issues with charging. I love the ds!!

i think it’s important to note that 2DS has a difference in layout that makes other games more difficult. monster hunter games (MH4U) rely on the use of the touchpad for camera and item shortcuts WHILE using the XYAB buttons and circle pad, and the bottom screen being significantly farther from the buttons makes it a little more difficult for someone like me with tiny tiny hands lol if its for home use only, 2DS is definitely great. i’m thinking of buying one when i save up enough.

It's a great system I have the Zelda version And unlike the new 2DS you can replace the battery in this one with two screws in the back The processor is in that fast so a few new 3DS games on play Maybe five or six games but the majority of the library and the DS stuff will If you're in the modding it does a pretty decent job I wanted a bigger screen so I purchased the Super Nintendo XL Euro version But I still love the 2DS for the price it's a great system and you get a game
