There's this question I have, one I cannot find anywhere a satisfactory answer for: is there any laptop machine on the market, that doesn't resides in the "desktop replacement" category, which shows a fair push in really exploiting to the max the additional space for cooling you have with a 16"/17" model vs a 13"/14"/15" one? I'm asking because it seems to me that most of the performance gain they could squeeze out of 17" chassis is basically left on the table (especially vs a 15" one), in favor of less investment towards developing specific cooling solutions for bigger models, when I look at actual in-game comparisons between two differently sized models of each available series you can buy... (Explaining more clearly: usually they - either push the cooling to maximum efficiency/performance in small machines, while using the most basic solutions for bigger models, - or they just copy paste the smaller machine design with slightly more spaced apart components for bigger models) Maybe an idea for a new category in your future tests and videos? In any case (and as usual), thanks for your consistently high standards of testing and illustrating how these machines work and perform. Keep up the great work!

"Find some way of cloning it". For those wondering. Get an external M.2 ssd enclosure. Put the new SSD in the enclosure. Get a program called macrium reflect. Select the internal SSD and then clone all partitions to the external ssd in the enclosure. You may then have to "extend" the main partition into the free space to get access to the extra space. Then physically swap the SSD's. I have done this successfully several times.

There's a firearm product called aluminum black that is used to touch up dings on anodized aluminum gun frames. Even comes in a pen applicator. Should be able to clean the ding with an alcohol wipe and touch it up with the pen to chemically blacken the exposed non-anodized material. It wont be as thick or durable as a proper anodizing, but works well to touch up annoying dings.
@Gusbus0012 жыл бұрын
I know people complain about the price because there are comparable pcs with similar or better performance at lower prices, but people underestimate the importance of durability. I can still use my MacBook Pro 15 from 2013 because it is built better. You can transport these laptops in bag and not worry about it falling apart. Laptops that aren’t built from a unibody design tend to fail not because the components fail, but because wear and tear break the chassis down.

How long have you had it? Are there any note worthy issues that have come up? I’m looking into buying one but with the price it seems like a tough choice
@CottonCandyIceCreamEnjoyer2 жыл бұрын
@@austinmd-01 For me I have the 3060 ti blade 14 from 2021 (I bought it like on June 16th, a couple days or weeks after it was announced). I have not had a single issue to date and am still happily using this laptop. Why I bought this: I was looking for a laptop that was portable, sleek, would work in a professional setting and won't stand out like crazy at a coffee shop, and something that was insanely powerful (pc specs) and blade 14 checked all of those boxes for me. Issues: Theres no alarming issues at all. Temperature stays reasonably cool depending on your workload. For things like fingerprints, I don't give a ffff xD. To me, tech is something you use so ofc it's gonna fingerprints on it but yeah, it's very easily to clean off but you kinda stop caring after a while lol. More detail to why I like it: - I can use it on my lap if I sit w my thighs going outwards like a V shape, allowing the fans to not get blocked while having proper support for it to rest comfortably on my legs. - Weight is pretty good for a beast like this but not even close to weight when compared with like an macbook air or surface book laptops so keep that in mind (but if you get this, it means you want it more for the performance of the machine itself so ye) Should you buy? That is 100% up to you and your situation with your money. This is one hell of a good investment because I know it's' gonna be able to be used for years and years but make sure you get this laptop only if you are going to use the specifications of it like the graphics card to a reasonable amount of its potential. Btw I typed all this while in the bathroom LOL with this on my lap and gotta say the typing experience is still smooth and amazing. Since I already had over a year to get used to the keyboard, it really feels comfortable and nice to type on this beast of a machine. Ask me more questions because I'm 100% just a "typical" consumer of this machine and will try my best to spread more info about my experiences w this (keep in mind tho again that its the 2021 version)

The fact it's only got 16 GB of RAM is kinda sad. As well as the fact you can't put a second drive into it. Don't tell me they couldn't fit at least a 2230 slot in there. Even such a tiny little thing as the GPD Win Max 2 can fit two m.2 drives and it's a 10" device. It would be very nice to see even if it was just a 2230 slot.

@@B1u35ky Still, it’s got powerful specs and could be great for content creation, but the lack of RAM upgrades, even at the time of purchase, makes the laptop unsuitable for serious content creation and will hurt this laptop’s longevity down the road. @Uruglot, I think they didn’t offer more than 16 GB because Intel bribed them not to do it. There’s no proof, but given most other laptops in this class either have some RAM upgradeable (the Asus ROG Zephyrus G14) or have all of the RAM soldered but offer a 32 GB RAM option at the time of the purchase (Alienware x14 & x15, Asus ROG Flow x13, and Apple’s MacBook Pros). Soft, chip-able paint rather than highly durable anodizing seems like a cheap choice for a laptop at this price point, as does 16gb soldered ram(!) Still, Razer's Apple-like price gouging is to be expected at this stage - if it costs more it must be better, right?
@paolo11x112 жыл бұрын
So I did some research and Razer says it is indeed anodized, but other industry sources that do anodizing say that that kind of chipping, scratching or wear can happen when the anodizing is very thin - so it sounds like Razer is cheaping out on the process regardless. There is also no satisfactory way of repairing such damage as the repair will stand out more than the scratch itself. Ironically some manufacturers claim to have paint products that are more durable than anodizing, but cost more to utilise, which I suspect would make them a no-go for Razer.

I have a question. So can changing refresh rate every time when on battery damage screen or laptop?
@karladap24162 жыл бұрын
No. There’s literally a feature which automatically switches to a lower refresh rate when on battery and higher refresh rate when on performance/charger mode. So doing it manually doesn’t really matter. It won’t damage your laptop screen.

@@karladap2416 I have a razer blade 15 (2020) so I don't have a shortcut key to change the refresh rate. I do it manually. Thats why I was concerned.

Sir i think Intel laptops can perform better than ryzen in battery. In dell xps 15 dell said they are getting great battery life than any alderlake laptop due to some tweeks in bios. Windows 11 runs all cores of 12 gen even in low processing demanding tasks. Windows 11 has not got any major update. I think after windows 11 optimization for hybird design of 12 gen will surely improve battery significantly. Lets wait for few months. Sir what's your opinion on my comment?

Intel laptops infact perform better than ryzen in battery BUT not in gaming laptops, in ultrabooks? For sure! Intel laptops are just Better in ultrabooks for battery and performance

Very informative review! Does it supports Thunderbolt to pair it with eGPU's? Would be nice to see a performance comparison. Edit: it looks like it only supports usb 3.2, so up to 10 GBps.😔
