to be fair, this is still much better than apples pricing. To get a similarly specced 13in macbook pro you would need to spend $1999, and that wouldn't even have dedicated graphics. For 15in you would need to spend $2,399 (even though you'd probably only buy the razer for the 13in and build quality). Again, razer's laptop is overpriced, but not apple levels of overpriced.

I think it's aimed at people who want a somewhat professional looking laptop, that has some power (decent CPU, 16GB RAM). I think the only reason they gave an MX150 option is for the sake of it. I could see this laptop being a nice fit for myself for some virtualization that I do sometimes, because I don't really like the way most Windows laptops look. I don't care much for MacBooks but I have to be honest, they are the best looking laptops and it blows my mind there are almost no Windows laptops that are built like them. The 16:9 aspect ratio however, no thanks.

@@jorgecasanova1999 you should check out hidevolution.com, they have great customer service according to forum posts, and you can customize the laptop you will buy (ex. laser ensgrave your name, bump up the ssd, ram, etc.) and if that company doesnt have international warranty (like razer) they offer this thing called HIPS, i cant explain it fully but do some research

matebook has no usb type a; so lets say you were looking for a cheaper alternative to a macbook and ALSO wanted to avoid horrible dongles or just wanted a windows based pc, you literally could just buy any other laptop brand. ofcourse huawei is more focused on phones so i don't think their laptop will be that much better than any other cheaper laptop brand. the camera is located in the keyboard (get ready for awkward video conferences). ALL IN ALL, i personally dont think the matebook is even on the same level as a razer blade (which has usb type a). maybe a dell xps? YES. a macbook and the razer blade stealth are a better comparison; both over priced but build quality is superior and just might last longer (depends on what you use it for and how you use it). HOPE THIS HELPED. :)

Watching this video again after Razer just announced their new 13 inch Razer Blade Stealth with 10th gen intel and Nvidia GTX 1650 on it. Also comes in Mercury White now too. In my opinion this is exactly the GPU that Razer needed in their stealth models and I'm hyped to buy it when it comes out this September.

I have been looking for a good device to start my architectural school back in september 2018 and from a Macbook pro 2013 I decide after checking a lot of youtube videos and to take the Aero 15x V8 (16Gb ram, 512ssd, gtx 1070, 4K,...) But what a bad choice...here I paid 3450 Swiss franc (more less same in US Dollars) and this machine run so many issu. even my old Mac haven't had that many issue in 5 years :/ - mouse is frozen sometimes - Bluetooth just decide sometimes to cut all my devide - I got many blue screen, somewhat like 10 in 4 months. - sometimes apps don't open so I needed to shut down and restart the laptop (even 2-3 times in some case) - in document folder after deleting stuff, it wont disapear instaid I go into a other folder and then go back - drivers in this machine are horrible :( - upgrading with a 16 Gb gskill of RAM was a nightmare - ect. For all just don't buy this laptop it's not stable at all even if the performance when editing and 3D modeling is great.

1080p panels are much easier to produce in higher quantities, since manufacturers already have the equipment required for it. Since especially 1440 is produced on a much smaller scale now than the 1080 panels, manufacturers would need to invest a lot in more production capacity if they were to produce more, which especially for low-end panels and low-end laptops is simply not worth it.

If you mean light like the games aren't graphically intense (eg you are a patient gamer (older games), indie gamer, or some esports), then the mx-150 is probably fine. That's what I do and my older laptop's GPU benches around the same area as Intel UHD 620, so much worse than the mx-150

I recommend what I'm sporting for that. The matebook x pro is a fantastic little Ultrabook with a 3000x2000 screen and a combo Intel/mx150 video card setup so you get very good batt life when not gaming. And it's only $1500 for the i7 version.

Ur missing the main point, the Justification for that price besides that it looks and feels like a premium device: It’s a USB-C charged ultrabook. Now u might read this and be like what’s the big deal. It’s portability man, if I had this beast laptop with that spec I would only carry the laptop and my USB-C PD power bank. O And that’s huge! The cpu on this is even better then my 2017 m15 fat Alienware. They are selling the portability of beings a laptop with those specs and still can be charged with USB-C PD New Power banks with usb-C are coming with 45, 65 and 100 Watts They can supercharge phones, Nintendo switch and other ultrabook laptops.

@@tomtankengine0 I understand, there is a market for this though, I've been patiently waiting for basically this exact machine. Need a 13.3" at or under 3 lbs with 16 pcie lanes for my egpu dock and other devices. The mx150 is enough to launch any of the unity projects I have without hindering the system otherwise. Also the construction is substantial. If this was any other brand I'd love it just the same. If the x1 carbon had the mx150 I'd be sold. Asus zenbook is quite nice, but I question the rigidity.

@@jaxeran no its not... a bunch other laptops at 13 to 14 inch screen size are way cheaper than this. The only thing worth in this above other options is TB3 but that doesnt cut it. Lenovo ideapad, huawei matebook, asus or even acer swift. Noone in in their complete state of mind would pay extra 400 dollars for less 0.7 inch. 14inch is just as portable. Razer is losing it, they are starting to get Apple disease.

As a mid-2018 stealth owner I completely agree. I'm not a fan of the square design, lack of HDMI port, keyboard layout and most importantly, the price! I got mine in gun metal brand new for $1200 back in May and it has been worth it. I don't play games or do intense work on the road, only at home and that is why I have the Core V2 with a 1080 and ultra wide curved monitor that can do anything.

I got mine today from a online best buy order, and it was $1400 after the $200 sale. I was interested in a computer which was light weight and would be easy to use in college. I also wanted to try a little gaming (I also have a desktop, this wasn't only for gaming) and be able to run my adobe programs well. I really enjoy the build quality and premium feel this provides. So for me this was the most perfect option.
