My long term review of the Razer Deathadder V3 Pro Wired version. I will also be comparing it to the Deathadder V3 Wireless, hoping the build quality has improved and removed the side flex. Along with a tear down of the wireless mouse, to see why we are getting flex on these gaming mice.

Exactly the kind of comparison I was looking for. I was thinking upon getting a V3 Pro but since it's a 100$ pricetag difference, the question needs to be asked about "Do you need to cut the wire THAT much?" Hop a bungee and that's it, it works flawlessly. I even have to admit I felt my wired Pulsefire Haste felt more responsive than either my DeathAdder V2 Pro, Viper Ultimate nor G Pro wireless (not Superlight) just because of that direct connectivity. But again, it might just be a placebo effect... but my wallet isn't going on placebo effect

I took your advise, I had flex on my deathadder v2 which I personally think broke the wireless on the mouse. Hi i have a problem with my razer deathadder v3. Upon moving the mouse to the right the cursor goes down upon moving left the cursor goes up. It doesnt happen with my logitech g502 hero. Is there any solution for this ? Or this piece is faulty ?

I opened up my wired DAV3 to install a paracord and took some pictures. It has the same amout of plastic connection points on the pinky side but they are spaced out differently. On the thumb side it also looks a bit different too but its hard to tell from my picture and the video because the connectors are so tiny. I'll put a link of the picture in a reply to this comment if you're interested but i'm not sure if it will show up because links seem to get auto moded on yt.

I like my Viper V2 Pro in black with matte texture that doesnt feel like coating that could wear out. For my sweating hands it feels much better than Superlight. It has no flex. I was considering Faker edition for better ergonomics, to support my favorite player and get latest latest DA3 Pro model that would be QA issues free. It looks like you saved me some time, money and dissapointment from getting the mouse that is inferior and cost more. Your honest review that got some value compared to others who named this mouse 2023 mouse of the year since first day earned you a sub from me.

Glad they finally updated the clickers! I’ve broken over 3 razer mouse left clicks in half because clearly i press to hard but after a million clicks it eventually started to crack. I bet I’m not the only one who’ve had this issue since they seemed to address it with the detracted mouse one and 2 that won’t have a stress point.

By far the best wired ergo mouse on the market atm. Unfortunately had to return mine despite loving it due to the size being too big for my hands. I would like to see a mini version of the Dav3, but I don’t think Razer would take that route with the Deathadder since it’s always been a chunky mouse.

My wireless Deathadder v3 is flawless, but my Viper V2 Pro has that side flex, and it has killed the mouse for me. It drives me absolutely nuts! Literally, every time I just adjust my grip, it makes that little pop, and it makes me so mad.

Razer needs to go back to the drawing board for the Wireless V3 Pro i also had a couple units and wasn't too impressed with the build and consistency, but rocking the Wired V3 now and it's been amazing. Maybe I'll pick up a wireless V3 Pro again in white in the future if i hear they fixed it, but for now I'm planning to use the heck out of my wired one it's that good and feels like a tank in terms of build quality.

Reading the specs on the razer website, the grip tape is included only with the Pro version. But another youtube guy above suggested to buy the grip tape "Corepad Soft Grips", they have them for every mouse included Deathadder V3 (wired and pro versions).

I have a Deathadder V3 Pro Faker Edition. When you mentioned side flexes. I do have a similar thing to what you're talking about... I was thinking getting a wired mouse in 2024..... I'll probably get it later. Haven't played games with wired mouse for a long time and my last wired was the Corsair Nightsword. I've owned, Logitech G Superlights, Corsair Sabres, Deathadder V2 and V3, and one Roccat Kain 200 mouse. Considering that right now the price went down on the Deathadder V3 wired. I might consider getting this later. I love my Deathadder V3 pro faker edition wireless. I wished they could have made a solid build with no side creaks. Sure the motto for them is to make lightweight mouses that can compete with other gaming companies products. If they ever made a Deathadder V4 and fix the side creak flex on the left side together. Then they would be a solid rival for Logitech G Pro Superlight 2.

there was an update at the end of last year and the v3 pro now pretty much has the same coating as the wired version. If you can find a good deal on the v3 pro go for that, performance is the same. I really hate the wire on the wired version, bunches up and curls up pretty badly (even with a bungie).

The build quality on my copy is atrocious, i have exactly the same issues with flexing as you are and besides that i have wobble RMB, squeaky LMB and on top of that i have a problem with the sensor, it is jittering or something. I did rma this mouse to the razer and they say they did not find any issues at all. I was in shocked. Now i have 150$ worth of junk in my hand and idk what to do.

I feel like the chalky feeling on the pro alone is worth it. IDC about flex. I do have the wired one and I don't need to firmly grip it. My hand just really sits perfectly on it almost like it's a part of my hand so I think I'm gonna return it and spend a little more on the pro.

Have the dav3 wired for a couple of months now BUT everytime i do a very fast directional swipe or sometimes when i move the cable it will disconnect and reconnects which is kinda annoying specially if it disconnects during a fight in fps games. Anyone having the same problem?

The flex is only on the wireless versions. If you take a look at some teardown videos you can see that razer put some more plastic on the sides of the wired version I wouldn't call that build quality...but anyways seems like a qc miss

i bought v3, after 3 months the scroll just was broken, and i dont used it too much... After trying it I have to say that it is much superior to other mice in terms of response and sensor height tuning, ergonomics, but it is a big problem to pay 70 dollars for a low quality mouse that will end up breaking soon if not You are lucky and it turns out well... although options like the x superlight are comparable in performance even if the sensor is not as good, you can really have a very good gaming experience with the superlight

@celzolsen8988 i game for days straight and the longer that goes on the firmer and tighter and harder I'm pressing my mouse buttons, on my first superlight 8 months more or less mouse 4 on the side just crunch right into the shell it was done but was still within warranty and i got sent another. i could feel it over the months getting weaker but if you've only had this this for a few weeks dude send it back that's unacceptable for something at this price range and honestly just fucking bs. viper v2 pro doesn't have this issue as far as I'm aware

I’ve got both. The most notable difference is the wired one hits a higher max polling rate during testing and maintains a higher average polling rate. Also it is capable of 8khz polling rate while the wireless can do a maximum of 4khz with the $30 dongle. The coating is better on the wired, it’s lighter, and is balanced better. Kind of a bummer because I liked the wired so much I bought the wireless but it’s inferior to the wired in every way other than the wire.

First of all, that's your opinion. What is inferior or superior differs depending on a persons needs. I prefer the feel of the wireless. The polling rate means nothing to 99% of people who use it. The balance and feel on the wireless version is perfect and there is zero flex on the sides as stated in this video.

I prefer the V2 myself it is probably heavier but has the same sensor if I remember rightly and has a rubberish grip plate on it which is very comfortable, it's also a heck of a lot cheaper than the v3 which has less components

Deathadder v2 has rubber grip and and overtime it will deteriorate leaving a large hole where you grip the mouse

My point is that deathadder hasn't been a top tier category for ages and Razer is expecting people to buy their most expensive line up instead. They must have upgraded this mouse. There is ZERO flex in the deathadder v3 pro on the sides or anywhere. It's solid and runs perfectly. If you use the included 4 pads you'll never have any wear on the actual mouse. People buying the Razer Deathadder V3 Pro do not pay attention to this video. There is no flex whatsoever.

This is hands down the best mouse I've ever used. Beat my personal best in Cold War for most kills within 2 hours of using it. Beat it by 15 kills too. It feels as light as a feather which has made tracking for me feel so much more smooth.
