Just to give everybody an update. Activision recently put out an update that COD Warzone mobile is raising its minimum requirements to play. Even though the Razer edge meets the hardware requirements, Razer Edge is still running android 12 and needs to run Android 13 at minimum. Now after November 14th you will no longer receive updates for Warzone mobile on the Razer edge. Around the time I will look into different app store to access Warzone mobile.

Ridiculous isn’t it , to have a monster hardware ,built for Warzone mobile and it gets held back because razer can’t give it an update to android 13 really boils me down. On the plus side it has allowed me to do some more cloud gaming and have been playing some BO6 on cloud gaming and it’s been pretty enjoyable. But I’m still hoping I can get the WZM updates eventually

@gink3649 yeah that WiFi 6E chip is great on the Razer Edge and an under appreciate feature in my opinion. Hopefully, Razer will push out an OS updated.

@@NappySenshi 100% I’ll hold my hands up I underestimated it , I knew it would be able to cloud game as its designed to but a cloud games really well , call of duty surprisingly smooth and graphics are spot on , and button delay is barely recognisable, I know some are anti cloud gaming but it is the way things are going I feel 👍🏻

@@NappySenshi researched into razer getting an OS update seen a lot of people saying Razer have given up and don’t know how to go about the update for the OS

I also took the Wi-Fi 6E for granted as well. I heard about people saying that razer is having a hard time figuring out how to update to Android 13 but they are still applying security updates. The need to just update the figure out how to make a custom OS image and apply it.

This is a great product so far. I got it for only 200 bucks. It's very good for both retro games and remote play, I can run PS2 games smoothly at 4x native.

Yeah I have seen refurbished 5g models for 200 USD. It really depends on the PS2 game but I do 2x resolution.

This is the reason why I want one.. to emulate gamecube, wii, ps2 games or ps3 games on android. My phone samsung galaxy a14 5g is a low-end or midrange phone can handle retrogames pretty good but dreamcast games is good and smooth but some games kinda stutter a little. Not sure but I just want one to emulate high extensive graphics games.

I have this device for two years I can say that it is incredibly good device still plays all mobile games on high setting has amoled screen really good speakers and really good build I still use this

Great review! Thanks for showing some love to some of my favorite gachas. I got a Razer Edge last month and have been loving it so far. The only thing Id like to note is that even though it says some games are incompatible with the device, Ive sideloaded games on it and was able to play Punishing Grey Raven and Aether Gazer without any issues.

Thank you for this comment. I should have done a little more research on downloading PGR. I just download TapTap app store and was able to get the game on my Razer edge. It also has Devil May Cry : Peak of Combat. Again, Thank you and glad you enjoyed the review!

I use mine with a 1tb SD card to play all media content....is the perfect size

might be crazy to ask this but, have you tried using the phone as a day to day use?

If you are asking about the razer phone, I don't think Razer is even selling that no more. The only reason I start using the razer edge is because my phone was getting warm and needed an android gaming tablet/ phone with active cooling and these was for a decent price. I been using this since April 2024

Hello, thanks for the video. I have a question, when you play a game with the mapped control (cod mobile), if you touch the screen the control disconnects for 1 or 2 seconds?

No I never experience that with COD mobile on the Razer Edge or my S22. I would check to see multiple background apps are running and turn them off for better performance for the Razer Nexus app and COD mobile.

Can you upgrade to android 14 or latest android 15? And does this download and use any other app instead of playing games? I'm interested and thinking of getting one.. can I use FL studio mobile music software in the razr edge console?

The Razer edge is running a custom android 12 OS, and it recently got another security update this September. Yes, you can download other apps like FL studio mobile.

They cannot update the Android OS 13 or 14 I've been talking to them for weeks and they can't figure out how to do that. Because it's not like Android Pixel I think it did not using Google OS or anything like what they told me I got the proof look at my shorts do not buy razor edge.

I'm aware that the Razer edge cannot update the Android OS to 13 and 14, but I still recommend this device especially with the TapTap app allowing me to download any android game.
