Is it possible to get a webcam with built in light and mic with quality of a condenser mic? If not what the best light and camera combo under 100?

Hello buddy, I hope you're well :) I've not seen one which is as good as a condenser mic, reason being that the webcam is usually more distance away then what you can get a microphone so they tend to pick up the environment sounds too. There are ones like the Creative webcams which have software that allows you to eliminate a lot of background noise but at the expense of the audio quality. I'm not sure where you are in the world, I'm from the UK so I'll go with UK prices on things and what I recommend if you are just starting out and need a budget setup I would grab a stand alone mic, something like the Fifine A6V, this in my opinion gives a really good result for the audio for how cheap it is. The tripod it's on is a little flimsy and it's all made of plastic so it's really light, but if you have it in one position then you should be good, but it can also be mounted onto a different base or onto a boom arm. If you're using something like OBS then you can disable the auto focus if it does cause issues. Ring Light - £20.89 geni.us/bWBW (Amazon commissions paid) This is not a light I have personally used although I do have one similar and I would go with something like this because you can adjust the brightness of the light which is something I HIGHLY recommend. I used to have a ring light where it was either on or off and you couldn't change the intensity of the light. So I would look at something like this to keep cost down but at least get some lighting on yourself. All that comes to £83.87 and it should be a pretty good starting point and you can upgrade as you go if you feel something needs upgrading. I hope this helps

Hello Chris. I hope you're well :) I completely understand with regards to the glare from the light on your glasses, there are a few things that you can try: Move your light so it’s above head height and to the side. Once you’ve moved your light don’t look towards it. Increase the level of ambient room light. Use a large soft light to make reflections less noticeable. Turn your wall into a broad light source. Use window light at an angle. Tilt your glasses. Give a few of those a go and see if it improves things for you.

PS: how did you get 1080p out of the razer kiyo? All i see are 720p and mine i have at my main job does also have only 720p (which looks better that most 1080p webcams)

@@AndyhhhdxIt worked once and then as many people say online (I spent hours reading) it detects the cam incorrectly and then not at all. For me it began the first time I touched the ring light to use it. It stopped detecting the camera. So of course I researched and tried unplugging and replugging… tried reinstalling the Synapse. I tried updates, I tried reverting back.. I tried using it without Synapse installed… The computer initially detects the camera and it is listed in devices but the second I click on it in Synapse or try to do anything with it all all, the computer no longer detects it. I was watching videos and looking in forums for about 3 hours and I now know I am not the only one. Lots of suggestions out there, but 95% don’t find a long term solution. I tried so many of the suggestions until it was just too much. The place I bought it at had one left. Just one. So if I take it back I can’t just exchange it for another one. Tomorrow I’ll call them and see what they say but I think I’m probably going to have to magically fix it or eat the cost of the webcam .. money down the drain I do have someone more techy than me that can help tomorrow but there is a clear common issue with this device I’ll never but Razer anything again
