RB25-Powered S13 240sx | From Drift Missile to Street Slayer

Welcome to Jeff's widebody RB25-powered S13 Nissan 240sx drift missile turned street car that he's owned and built over the last year and a half! Under the hood is a 2.5L inline six with a big single turbo that's punishing the ground with over 460HP at the rear wheels. The S13 is an icon in the drift world and is part of the s-chassis family of cars, most of which aren't boosted but still carry the same strong chassis to build from. Some would call a lot of S13 and S14 cars overpriced because of their drift "tax", but if you can find a good shell and build from there... the potential is endless for road and track.

Yeah, because when parts break you can actually find them, not to mention way more people know how to tune a 2j - and proper tuning is both essential and expensive. Rbs are known to have reliability issues man. Don't get me wrong I love them but its just a fact of life. I still might put one in my s13 because I love nissan.

model guy rb26 sounds so much better than the vq engines from the r35 or 350z. unfortunately nissan probably won't make another rb engine and the next gtr will be as bad sounding and as ugly as the r35. that alone would be that as bad if they would finally make another Silvia. I guess the time of cool nissans was over long ago... I'm not a huge jdm fan anyways (I'm more of a euro guy) so I shouldn't even care that much but it's always nice to see more competion in the car world.

model guy Agreed! man maybe we should be friends XD only real modern cars I can think of right now: mx5, gt86, bmw M2 and m4(only as manual though), maybe also the z4, Porsche gt3, gt3rs and gt4, Lotus and those caterhams. I really don't know what I should think of the new supra... I like the cooperation with BMW because when they teamed up with McLaren they produced one of best cars of all time and imo BMW makes the best looking German cars but I heard they will only help out with drivetrain and engine. which is ok for me bc they are reliable and good sounding imo... have you seen that one shmee video where he spots the supra/bmw z5 on the Autobahn? it looked pretty odd though.

I've road in a B16 crx si so I know the feeling Marcus is talking about it's exactly like your on a roller coaster and it just keeps pulling and pulling even in first gear you feel the power a lot when you 2 step it nothing can compare to it, feels like a jet fighter taking off, HP numbers don't matter when your in a car that light you feel every pound of torque it just feels weightless like your ripping through air. Yeah, a fully stripped car, you don't need all the power. But in a 6000-pound full interior+extra sound dampening and aftermarket console+sound system truck, I'm gonna need at least 600-900 wheel for it to be 'fast' and 1200 wheel for it to be competition ready. And AWD, of course.

Depending on Which model the Rb25 came out of Most will make it too 500rwhp (94-95) R33 gtst 500-550 (96-98) R33 Gtst / First R34 Gtt (98/99) But the Neo 00-02 Will make 600whp on Bottom end (Mainline/Mustang figures) For those of you who want to ditch the Sr20/ca18 / ka24

Since i live in Australia. Over the year's i have had countless Rb25dets All stock bottom ends an taken 500-550rwhp an awhp beatings, they are a great motor an really take the abuse, Some people would even dare say the Rb25det Neo is better then a Rb26dett in a sense of Stock for Stock, Both have stroker combo's an both can be combined with a 30de/det bottom end ;) I'm currently building a 26/30 (3.2) atm though in a 1993 2door R32 Gts4 only reason i went with the 26 over 25 is i already had the head laying around :)

İ used to have a sr20det swapped s13 making about 350hp. Sadly i needed to sell it and im missing it so much. Now im driving a mk3 supra but im def looking forward to get a s13 again. But to be honest your s13 has my dream engine swap but not my dream bodywork. Other than that its a very cool car. We in Germany and Austria say: once you drive a turbo, you always and forever drive turbo 😀
