This was probably one of the most unique builds i've ever driven. We were pressed for time with all of these cars from Alberta, but hopefully in the future we can re-visit this one for a more in-depth and full review! :D Checkout @autodream on Instagram and over at Autodream.ca

I was assuming the steering rack mounts were change to polyurethane bushings to give a more direct feel. You can also get aftermarket steering columns for these cars which do away with the rubber coupler mid column.

Dude, you need a camera pointing to the cluster, specially in this type of cars. Great video!.
@GearedToSlide5 жыл бұрын
Dude this is sick. I'm curious as to why this type of build has not taken over. The head swap I mean, the VE head onto the sr20det block. If I had an sr20 build the rocker issue would always be in the back of my mind. Edit: Perhaps the swap is expensive or a pain in the ass to complete I'm unsure. It seems very worth it to ditch that rocker arm configuration.
@elibutler64822 жыл бұрын
I have a JDM s14 and I want the SR20VET under the hood, but your completely right about the swap. Its super expensive and the engines are rare to find since they are kinda new and only came in two models. Along with that they are in AWD configurations and the switch over to RWD is hard due to firewall clearances. But in general they are the coolest builds b/c it isn't an LS or 2j AND its still a 4 banger under the nissan flag.

You can see raindrops on the camera lens in a couple shots, I was not about to stuff this car into a wall for the sake of one more pull! I did, however get a few pulls at full throttle all the way to 9500+ RPM and let me tell you it has one of the smoothest and intense powerbands I've ever felt...

SR20VE with a slap on Turbo ? wow, you don't see them everyday, plus it explained why it can run till 11k coz it has that same system the Honda have in their VTEC, it's called Neo VVL.

those harnesses are soo unsafe. please fix the tie-downs and lower the buckle point.
@brandonisernia43517 жыл бұрын
Hey Alex, I believe you need to double check where you get your information, as per manufacturers specifications. "When mounting shoulder belts to a roll cage or harness bar, the optimal angle of the belts (from the horizontal plane) is between 0° and 20° downwards from the top of the occupants’ shoulders or seat back opening. When a rollcage or harness bar is not available, installing a multi-point harness to the rear OEM seatbelt anchor points (D & E) an angle of 45° downwards from the top of the occupants’ shoulders or seat back opening is acceptable." Straight from the website. it also states that if they follow what you say to do( which it explicitly stated not to). "That in an accident this can pull you downwards and put a lot of stress on the cartilage between the vertebrae" so , no, they are installed properly.... perhaps you should adjust yours?

the owner's seatbelt is super f.ed up lol. look at the release wheel cocked all the way in the 3 oclock position. in a crash, he's instantly dead. the whole harness will fly apart and hes going through the windshield.
