I use to use a maguiers product for my interior on my vx wagon, it had a little bit of alkline in it , like acid, and that really gave it a deep clean, id use that than wipe after with hot water and micro fiber cloth.came up like new, never damaged my interior

I was in a VL in 2000 paid $5k for it with fresh respray was 87 exec in the grey and it had a mint steering wheel which at the time removed for after market - back when you could get full Calais series 2 interior for $300.

Your taking me back. My Dad bought a beautiful dark blue new VL Berlina in 1986. I then bought it off him. Did a few mods nothing wild, but along the way I found loose exhaust manifold bolts. Being clueless I thought I’d just tighten them up, then proceeded to break 8 bolts off in the head! At that point I was introduced to Ezy-Outs…I’m still scarred from it 😂. Love the series of VL videos.

the handle when you get it out they wear out the cast metal lug on the outer handle and skip the spring lever that activates the door to open, youll need a new handle

When the seat bolts get stuck in my builds, I get a set of vice grips from under the car and loosen them of that way, which works every time. Good luck with the build.

Just bought a n15 sss and saved it from the scrape heap. The doors were exactly the same. highly recommend getting the hose in there and giving the inside a wash and blasting the drain holes. Also highly recommend a blend of warm water mixed with dish washing liquid and isopropyl alcohol for removing stains with the wet vac. Keep up the good work bro!

The VL is pretending to be an X-series Flacon :P Keep it up mate. Know you like new things and keeping it clean Knox Auto Carpets do new moulded carpets for $180. While the door cards are off and you're cleaning them make sure to rust convert the bottoms to stop rust in its tracks. Keep it up again

@MindieJ in what regard ? It's better clamping force, better braking, better pedal feel, bleeds up so much quicker it's just better all round. I've done it to multiple commodores and it's transformed the way they brake. And unless it's an actual race car on a race track there's no brake fade issue, honestly man it's night and day it's one of the most common conversions to do in the early commodore scene. My own VH SLE 308 and VN 355 both have VT Booster and master without VT rotors and callipers and they both stop on a dime from 140kmh no problem amazing brakes. Had both set ups for years no issue, so om.not sure why hoppers stoppers would not agree with it. Maybe because they want to sell the full kit 😁 Of course though adding the VT Rotors and twin piston calipers with the VT booster and master will be even better again. But where people get it wrong it they add VT rotors and twin piston calipers to early commodores and keep the early commodore booster and master and this is no good, end up with a spongy pedal because the early master and booster is to small for the twin piston calipers and bigger rotors. Each to their own man though, I'm no brake engineer I can only say what I've personally experienced and in my personal experience with multiple early commodores 2 of which I still own the VT Booster and Master even with the factory early commodore rotors and calipers Is an amazing upgrade

Hey mate. Congrats on the new car. I had a feeling a VL was coming but it's exciting to have a new project, one that will have you pour your heart and soul into. Look forward to the new series. Hey, by the way, I would've tried a vice grip pliers on that dodgy seat mount bolt. Was it tightened too much or rusted on ? Brake fluid is an excellent penetrating fluid too, better than WD40 for rusted on parts. Believe me, especially when trying to undo rusted on exhaust nuts without having to resort to drastic means. Have also considered just getting the seats retrimmed eventually ? Refresh the bolsters and the sponge so they don't feel sagged. Fresh new old stock material would come up a treat.
