Kevin Levrone always talked about growing into shows. If a non trained person can do it then I don't think it should be a question whether bodybuilders with elite genetics and a bunch of tren, halo etc in them can do it during contest prep. I think we are too stuck in the deficit/surplus thing and are forgetting our bodies are a bit more complex than that. It's not like we don't recover/build/heal broken down muscle in a deficit or burn/utilize fat/energy in a surplus. On tren I feel like I get leaner between every meal and grow after each one as well... Because that's how it probably really works anyway. Greg made an interesting video explaining his view. One of his examples was an overweight person in a big deficit. Is that person not able to gain any muscle while he has a ton of fat/energy all over his body that his body can use? He has to stuff his face and get even fatter just to gain some muscle? Seems a bit silly

His offseason protocols are very similar to the Vertical Diet which is what i use. He is dead on. I am on about 4300 calories a day with absolutely ZERO bloat. I get in around 35g of fiber a day from 550g of carbs. No problem with my poops. I also dropped caffeine about 2 weeks ago completely. I still have 2 coffees a day but i stick to decaf. I just love the taste of coffee.

The sarms we think real is not real
@ltsjack5 жыл бұрын
How disappointing, he keeps dodging questions and backtracking. Like his plan is just to say what he thinks he wants you to hear instead of thinking about the question hard and giving his real answer. Really good on you for keeping it straight and actually trying to make him clarify his position. Hope you can get some other "guru" on the show and pick them apart again though, really like the idea of that for these interviews.
@FouadAbiad5 жыл бұрын
JackOscarRS I don’t think he was dodging my questions at all. Chris is a stand up guy, he doesn’t need to avoid any questions.
@ltsjack5 жыл бұрын
@@FouadAbiad Dodging is maybe the wrong word to use, what I mean is it felt like he wasn't really interested in answering some of your questions in a deeper way. Just instantly responding "oh yeah absolutely" before you barely even finished talking. And then when you respond like "Really? Why?" he backtracks or just responds "oh well maybe it varies on a lot of different things". I don't know, I just felt like I didn't get a lot out of his answers at all, like he was afraid to give concrete answers. Take the high fats vs. high carbs on bulk topic for example, I barely even know what his position is on that after watching this, again when put on the spot he just says "it depends". Would've been a lot interesting to hear him actually argue for one side over the other or at least give pros and cons of each approarch
@FouadAbiad5 жыл бұрын
@@ltsjack I got more out of his answer I guess. He said he was an advocate of high fats but it also depends on the person. Maybe his answers aren't concrete because nothing in bbing is, there are always exceptions and different things work for different people. Chris is very measured in his responses because he doesn't speak in absolutes which is the way it should be when talking about nutrition or fitness related issues.
@ltsjack5 жыл бұрын
@@FouadAbiad For sure nothing is absolute, but I still think you should be able to give your opinions and takes on the topics without presenting them as facts. Or be able to give some concrete examples of when he would apply what strategies. Anyway, not looking to pick apart the show or anything I think what you're doing is great and I hope you keep at it, especially this format where you try to do a deep dive into some BB related subject.
