Wicked sick paint job! Sadly the stencil part I could only see that red spray blob on your wall. But good overall. Thank you!

Thanks for the feedback, I'm still very much getting the hang of this, with better camera position etc :)

Thanks mate. Can you use an airbrush to apply the liquid mask?
@Gingapaint Жыл бұрын
The mask is too thick for an airbrush, you need to scale up to a full size spray gun with a generous nozzle. I'm using a cheap Sealey gun with a 1.7mm nozzle (an airbrush is usually 0.3 or 0.5mm) Hope that helps!

@@Gingapaintthanks mate that helps. May I ask what liquid mask you are using?
@Gingapaint Жыл бұрын
@@NaughtyGoatFarm I usually just use what's in stock at my local model shop ( wwww.modeltune.com) which is typically Bitty Design or Klinik. I also really like RCS mask when I can get it. They all have slightly different qualities and quirks. Saying that it doesn't take long to adjust and I've used all of them with success.

Re: spray gun. What nozzle size and pressure? I use 0.8 at leave at 30psi but mine doesnt go on anywhere like that. It does the job all the same.

Hi Gareth, I use 2 brushes, depending on the work. A 0.5mm Iwata Revolution and a 0.35 Iwata Kustom CS. Pressure is adjusted on the fly, again depending on the work at the time. Paint viscosity is a bigger deal, I feel A lot of folk ignore paint viscosity, but it makes a huge difference. Just because water based stuff CAN be sprayed straight from the bottle, it's so much better reduced properly. There's no golden rule for this, unfortunately as temperature, humidity and the work needing done with vary the requirement.
