Looks like the front had over drive gearing. Might be wrong. Only drove my TRX4 for 20 minutes.

- When the front tires turn (6 to 12%) faster, than the rear tires, with these light weight RC's, we get what is called OVERDRIVE, and the point with (O.D.) is it helps to pull the overall vehicle weight, off of the rear (slightly), so the rear is not as burdened as much. This (O.D.) option (usually smaller front differential gears)... ...is somewhat specific to crawling uphill, and also to have a tighter turning-radius, plus like I said above, (O.D) helps to get the load/weight "going" uphill, or even from a stand-still, like in soft sand/dirt. - I hope this helped !!! 😉👌 💪🇺🇸
