I can say that you have the first flexi-winged Mustang in the world PETE. My number 1 (Mustang) and number 2 (Corsair) planes on my Best Planes list were awesome to watch but was heart breaking to see them collide. Good job bringing them down safely.

A guy, who is a bit of a legend in our club, used to fly formation with himself, he had two planes that he would fly on the one transmitter, apparently very successfully, unfortunately he has passed away recently.

Sorry about the crash - but what great flying. You guys fly them like you own 'em. Pretty cool how nice of a landing you made with a busted up wing spar.

Very lucky both models didn't disintegrate in the air, that Mustang should be repairable.

no she wont need decoking till the end of your second season, depends if your using fully synthetic ( less coking) or castor (more coking) remember that the engine will lean out in the air so turn the main needle one click anticlockwise when you have leaned her out on the ground ! how much expo do you use on your controls ? i use around 35 to 40 % this will help with smooth flying especially on deadsticks when you need to use small movements to avoid stalling especially on the elevator ! pete,

nice vid guys and very lucky :-)

Pete I run k-series too, 13 x 8 and I only get a faint sound like yours, I'd buy an OS donk if would guarantee me that sound, truly awesome!

Hi pete, I'm new to Saito but have been a nitro user 20 years, my saito is 6 months old and bolted in a hangar 9 p51d 40 size mustang. The guys at hangar 9 recomend my exact setup but i will get my hands on a 13x7 prop. Current needle settings get me 9400 rpm on the ground, if i chase any more she gets close to stalling at the end of the first pass, scary landing them dead! i would not think it would need decoking but it may be worth a look, cheers Blair

hi blair the howl is prop tip noise, if i put an apc prop on them its completely gone but performance is sacrificed slightly ! they do sound good dont they especially when they synchronize together on a low pass, all my os 91 fs engines do the same thing as well, regards pete,

Ever since I seen this video about a week ago I watch this multiple times a day, just ordered a k-series prop for my top Flite P-51 I hope it sounds the same powered by the evolution 20cc

tbobborap1 Well, crash and burn yes the k series prop did produce the Great sound the CA hinges for the ailerons failed. Currently building a topflite p40 using the same 20cc evolution (no more ca hinges)

hi blair, we have another 3 vids of these to models flying with the same noise, also my son dean flew his cmpro extra on an os 91, we have several vids of this flying with the same noise , ive never owned a saito but several club members own them and never have a bad word about them, maybe a couple of hundred rpm more would give you the sound, does she need new bearings or possibly a decoke ? or run her on a 13x7 if you can get one in the k series, or the standard master airscrew prop ? - pete,

Now that proves the strength of Oracover doesn't it.....Very Nice flying fella's, but trying to display like your at Old Warden / Duxford is not as easy with the little ones as they make it look with the real thing....

SteveRibaudo hi steve thanks for your comments, i reckon an os fs 70 surpass II or an os alpha 80 (if you can afford them - well worth it) would suit this size model with a 13x6 " K " series master airscrew prop, hope this help steve - regards pete,
