Hey Underdog! I appreciate the support! I'm looking forward to the build as well. I've got two big edits going on at the moment. Once I get those cleared up I'll be working on that next along with another custom paint project.

Hey JB, how do I lower the front ride height? Thanks in advance!!
@jbtricklerc2 жыл бұрын
You will need to change out or add shims that go under the front lower a arms. I purchased a kit off mudslide Motorsports that had several different thicknesses for front ride height adjustment. I show these and mention these in the pan car setup tutorial video as well. That may help identify what they look like. Hope that helps. Thank you for the support.

I’m new to the pan car, I have older cars. My question is if I push on my right body post the left front stays planted but when I push on the left body post my right front comes off the ground?
@jbtricklerc2 жыл бұрын
sounds like you have it loaded heavy on the left rear and left side of the car in general. you could adjust this by adjusting the side shocks. However, how heavy or how light it is will determine the handling as well. Some cars liked a lighter right front, others do not. My spec 7 car liked it light on the right front, but My Pro 4 did not like it.

What size pinion gear did you use?
@jbtricklerc11 ай бұрын
Shanerussell3915, I honestly cannot remember in this particular build. for a breakout truck the gearing can vary as well. If I can find the notes on this build I'll update the gearing note in the description.

What type of transponder do you need for the Easley RC complex. Is it the Mylaps RC4 or RC4 hybrid
@jbtricklerc3 жыл бұрын
Jacob good question and either works. 2 wire or 3 wire. I have a couple of each and never had an issue.

Do you have a name or link to the brand of side shocks that have the spring retainer that’s keyed for quick spring replacement? They don’t require a tool to remove the spring.

Hey Kentucky. Great question and I'm not 100% sure. I've done so many cars and used so many different brands. But I can definitely help point you in the direction that should help you find them. Look on Mudslide Motorsports and Left-hander RC's websites, those are where I purchased my machined and threaded dude shocks from. Also, check out Pemberton RC's website too or perhaps it was KSG. I seem to recall a brand specific shock similar to that at some point.

@@jbtricklerc Thanks for pointing me in the right direction. I live about 45 minutes from Barry at Muddslide, I’ll ask him on my next visit! Thanks!

@@Kentucky-bz6pg Thats awesome! Barry is a good guy and has helped me many times as well.

Any recommendations for caster/camber settings for that front end? Seems like those front ends are a dark art, you either know it or don't.

Brown great question. If you search or scroll through my channel you can view my other video "pan car basic setup and tuning guide" where I show my personal go to setting for the castor and camber setup.

How often shocks and stuff
@jbtricklerc2 жыл бұрын
MR NAscarfan1 great question and it really depends. I've done it enough that I go by the feel, I can tell when they aren't dampening properly anymore or feel low on oil. So If all shocks are threaded shocks and seal properly I'll go a couple three races on the same shocks. If I have a small leak that I notice, they'll get rebuilt after every race or if sitting for a while I'll rebuild them as well (in case of leaks). But every couple three races are usually good enough. Some rebuild after every race and thats fine, but again I usually go by feel or a maintenance schedule.
