THE MOST HUMBLELING MOMENT OF ALL CAME AT THE WILLIS WARBIRDS FIGHTER MEET BACK IN JUNE 2016 WHEN UNBEKNOWN TO DEANO & I THE TWO TEDS - MATT HARROWVEN AND CHRIS WILLIS HAD ORGANISED A FUND ON FACE BOOK ASKING FELLOW MODDELLERS TO MAKE A DONATION TOWARDS UPGRADING ALL OF OUR COMPUTOR EQUIPMENT AND CAMERA AS A VERY BIG THANK YOU FOR ALL THE VIDEOS WE HAVE UPLOADED OF THESE GUYS & GIRLS OVER THE PAST NINE YEARS AT THESE SHOWS !
IT WAS SO HUMBLEING THAT I MIGHT HAVE CRIED SEVERAL TIMES DURING THAT AFTERNOON - LOL,
AS IF THAT WASNT ENOUGH OF A SHOCK WHEN WE FINISHED FILMING ON THE FLIGHT LINE OF THE LMA ELVINGTON SHOW TWO WEEKS LATER DAVE & ANDY JOHNSON & KEN Mc CORMICK PRESENTED US WITH A CARD WITH MORE DONATIONS IN IT - GOBSMACKED AGAIN TO SAY THE LEAST,
WE WERE THEN GIVEN SEVERAL CASH DONATIONS FROM MORE FRIENDS AND THE TOTAL DONATION FINALLY CAME OUT AT OVER £1650 !!!!!
WITH THIS MONEY WE BOUGHT TWO NEW MONITORS AND ALSO A TOWER COMPUTER AND WILL UPGRADE THE VIDEO CAMERA SOON,
ANOTHER MILESTONE IN OUR RC HISTORY WOULD BE THAT OF DEANO BEING OFFERED A POSITION AS A DISPLAY PILOT IN THE AZAEROSPORTS DISPLAY TEAM THIS YEAR,
AND HE WAS ALSO OFFERED A SPONSORHIP FROM GP ENGINES (GREAT POWER ENGINES),
ANOTHER MILESTONE FOR DEANO WAS THAT HE WON THE 3D FREESTYLE MASTERS AEROBATIC COMPETITION BACK IN FEBUARY 2017 AND AGAIN IN MARCH 2018.

My fave-save was the big white job (sorry, didn't recognise the plane but it had red star insignia) with one wheel locked down and one still stuck up in the wing. The pilot deliberately brought it in hard on the locked wheel - with enough airspeed to go round again if necessary - and jolted the stuck wheel down into a locked position whilst maintaining perfect control. Safe landing, no panic, no problems... Ice-cool nerves, and a brilliant bit of camerawork to catch it as well. Excellent all round! :-)

The lessons learned here is to avoid attempting to fly Triplanes, nose gear are a great idea but no one builds them strong enough, and attempting to fly a pack of airplanes together is a recipe for disaster..

Even with some of the mishaps there were many great saves from more damage and all seemed to take the more damaged landings in stride. Great group of pilots and supporters 👍👍👍😎😎😎

In my r/c flying days 40 years ago I only built small models about 30 inch wingspan because I couldn't carry anything bigger on my bike...And an advantage of small jobs is that they rarely fly to pieces in a hard prang, they just sort of bounce..:)

All the problems come from a mis-placed center of gravity! especially the YELLOW cub!! Tail heavy!! Move the CG one inch forward and the plain with be as stable as a rock!! (I had one, same thing happened to my plane!)

Ridiculous way to treat that beautiful Sea Fury, the ground surface is way too rough and strewn with stones & debris for a safe and well considered take off, as soon as it started pitching forward & striking the prop on the ground he should've got out of the throttle, admittedly he may have lost a bit of elevator & rudder authority but by that time the ground surface is doing more to control the model than the tail group is anyway.

MASTER OF DARK BLUE FIRE , that model is based on a WW2 german aircraft which during the war were indeed commonly marked with swastikas on their tails, this model was trying to go for historically accurate markings
