RC Plane high altitude. 2000 feet without FPV

Taking my STM Discovery trainer to yet another personal altitude record of 632 metres (2073 feet)! No use of FPV.

It looks preaty difficult with no fpv system. Did you have a RTH in case you lost contact ?

Thank you for your comment. Well, it was a bit difficult because obviously the plane becomes very tiny at that distance. I don't have a RTH system, but used my Futaba 10J to program a fail safe pattern for the servos. This will make the plane go down on the spot. You see that I always keep it right above where I stand. It's really exciting to fly at these altitudes :)

Good job ! I will try doing the same but more than 600 meters ... wil be hard ^^

+RC Planes 31 Do you have a telemetry system? I use the Futaba 10J with live telemetry streaming as you can see in my videos. Good luck with your flying! :)
