It's planned but we are quite busy atm 😅. We flew with it once and it was actually quite difficult, the plan reacts too quickly and moving your whole hand instead of just flicking your thumb is not so quick. We might add some low pass filter to it, or limit the control surface angles. And we definitely need to try it with fpv so we have the right perspective.

Ha, good question! There are several things you don't see in this video. We have our own completely custom control system. In short, the joystick is connected to a laptop via usb. Laptop is running a custom made desktop app (coded in C# wpf) that reads the joystick data. Then we send the data from laptop to an arduino also connected to the laptop. The arduino is then connected to an nrf24l01 module that sends the data over the air to another nrf and arduino in the plane. All the coding is done by us, we don't use any standard off the shelves rc equipment (aside of the motor, controller and the prop of course). We might make a video about it at some point. You might see parts of that control system in our other videos.

Oh, I've built the same sustem but the plane is controlled by wifi (He still didn't took off 😢)

Nice! We flew with it but only once and didn't record it. But we will definitely fly like this again and upload some footage.

Great! Is it with Ardupilot or without? I think the latency between the plane and Joystick is quite high, isn't it?

No ardupilot. The code is entirely custom made, we don't use anything from the internet (not anything rc specific), only some arduino libraries like servo or one for the nrf radio module. I don't know what is the standard for latency in rc. We have always been flying with this setup (with a gamepad instead of the joystick but same connection setup) and it is quite alright, good enough I'd say.
