@@EdwardRCDrum 21:46 I just wanted to say how impressed I was not only with the build and your skills but your parts! You say it’s an old Tlr 22 but I’ve never seen those front steering knuckles before! They’re sweet! Next I must point out is how did you get the Exotek front bulkhead! Incredible!! And finally sorry for rambling but where’d you get the rear shock tower? I also did a Tlr 22 2.0 build but couldn’t find that bulkhead:(
@EdwardRCDrum Жыл бұрын
@@austindickey1136 Thank-you! The chassis I cut was a 22T 2.0 stadium truck. I would imagine the Exotek upgrades have been discontinued, I could not find them on line. The suspension arms are from a 22-4 4x4 buggy which has also been discontinued but the caster block is TLR234026 and the spindles are TLR334007. The rear shock tower I made from the aluminum of a broken 22-4 chassis. I am glad you enjoyed the video.

Nice job. Really enjoyed this vid. Seeing someone execute their vision is very inspiring. You have great perspective vision watching you fabricate the body. It was very well thought out and came out awesome! I'm going to recycle some of my left over parts and try my own project ..similar. Great vid and creativity.

Was that a Losi 22s you modded?
@robertregalado10152 жыл бұрын
I just noticed it's mid motor..must be something else you used or relocated your trans.
@EdwardRCDrum2 жыл бұрын
It was a 22T-2.0 (2wd stadium truck). The middle section I added was from a 22-4 buggy chassis that was cracked and unusable.
@EdwardRCDrum2 жыл бұрын
Correct, the 22T-2.0 had a mid-motor option. For a dragster a rear mounted motor may be better but this was all I had. Any rear 2wd model would work just fine. The 22T had very long A-arms creating a super wide stance so I used 22-4 (buggy) A-arms (with a little modification) to narrow the width. I am really enjoying this dragster and best of all it didn't cost me much at all. Good luck with your build!

nice. A question...can you put velcro underneath the body or some other way instead of the strap around the outside. That would be the ultimate.
@EdwardRCDrum Жыл бұрын
Perhaps I may re-think how to latch the body, good suggestion. Thanks.
@DJ_SHANNIMAL Жыл бұрын
@@EdwardRCDrum from an aesthetic standpoint I think that would look a lot better. You might could even use some strong neodymium magnets. Since this isn’t a jumper/basher you just need to keep it down so wouldnt take much I would think. I always love running in the sand although clean up is a PIA. Nice looking build man. Good job.
