I love how rapidly you are improving your DIY remote trolling motor. I appreciate the clear, concise and short videos. Thank you for the links you provide to purchase the components so that we can replicate your invention.

Thanks TC! I make my videos the way I like to view information about projects. I don't want to hear useless banter and blah, blah, blah. Just show me how to build it and what parts I need.

Greetings aksman, i have just recently received all the pieces to assemble the drive and steering as you have so clearly outlined in orevious videos. I just wanted to point out, coming from rc planes, this sort of unit is often used to adjust the speed of landing gear servo retracts, and more sophisticated transmitters can accomplish some of the other functions like adjusting end point travel, use of dual rates for less or more travel over all, and exponential rates to help tame over control. I am about to unbox the Hotrc transmitter and explore if it offers more than the basics, and will report back. May i say, Good Job providing clear and easy to understand information !

Thank you Neal. I had no idea if the circuit would work when I ordered it. 😁

Do you make the project available in 3D? I have a project here that uses remote control on the electric engine

HI. You have a video of how to program Hobbywing ESC LED Program Card? thanks

What is the name or part number for this?

Could you do this with the Newport 55 or what’s the max pound thrust rated for that hobby wing esc?
@Aksmaniyak6 күн бұрын
I don't recommend using the 880 ESC with any trolling motor larger than 50lb thrust.

Hi, My one question would be, does the servo motor delay act like a PWM? or is it one speed just slower? I like to troll at slower speeds and cruise shorelines , thx Ken
@Aksmaniyak6 ай бұрын
Thanks Ken. I don't know if it really acts like a PWM but it does allow you to dial in a speed either faster or slower.
@jimn6sxb6446 ай бұрын
The PWM pulse width is interpreted by the servo as a position command, the delay would just delay the start of the position command. So the PWM signal from the receiver will just maintain the current pulse width and then pass through after the delay. The speed function just breaks down the new position command into several sub positions and moves to each with a delay between subcommands. More or less....

Your link to the HOTRC DS-600 remote and receiver has the 4-9 volt receiver rather than the 4-14V version that we need for our project. The 4-14V version seems to be sold out across the globe. Did they stop making the HOTRC DS-600 PWM 4-14V or do you think it's sold out and will be available again some time in the future?

You can try Aliexpress. I know the new DS600 model changed.

Thanks dude. This little circuit solved most of the issues that was keeping me from deploying my own version of an RC controlled trolling motor for my SUP fishing setup. You can see videos that I made for my RC airplane club buddies @jimn6sxb644. I'm not a KZbin creator, all my videos are made for my buds. I made another comment with links to one specific video, but it got deleted for some reason.
