Instead of using this to determine where to add weight, you can use this to correct your shock preload. In full scale cars this is called "corner balancing". On your car I can see that the front left or right rear have too much preload, you can adjust one and it will affect all four corners if I recall correctly
@michaelshepherd75723 жыл бұрын
You beat me to it. Adjust the preload (by turning shock collars) up or down to get the weight balance as close to possible, front to back, side to side and cross weights. By the way, you need to DISCONNECT your swaybars when checking corner weights as they often can affect preload.
@bigbuckoramma3 жыл бұрын
Came here to make this exact post. The corner weighting from the front right to rear left could easily be evened out, and balanced. I guess Ryan now has a follow-up video to make. 😉
@scooz143 жыл бұрын
to do this right you should level out a setup board every time you use it to get repeatable results. you should also use setup wheels or discs, again repeatability. you want to disconnect the sway bars and adjust the shock preload to adjust the corner weights. after the corner weights are set, adjust the sway bar links so that you can connect them with no preload on the suspension. to add conerweight , add shock preload. to reduce cornerweight, reduce preload. you need to watch ride height by adjust all the corners slightly to get the weight and ride height correct

For anyone wondering, Gforce is just a rebrand of SkyRC for the japanese market.

interesting. i think many of the stock drivers will be interested in this product, but since I just drive mod. I´m pretty much just eyeballing that haha. but still a great product idea

Oh boy. I've had this in my shopping cart for a while now. You just reminded me why it ended up there in the first place. Thanks for sharing the review Ryan.

In Germany this is called Skyrc corner weight system. I got it some months ago and i love it!
@jackdurden4663 жыл бұрын
I’d think they call it the Air, because it’s wireless. I could see that as truly effective when racing ovals as you’d want to have one side far more heavy than the other, but other than shock adjustments and rear end burnouts, for $100, I would spend it on something different. It could definitely be useful to the right racer

Your car has cross tweak so you really cannot tell if you need more weight left to right at the moment. Fix your cross tweak with your springs first! This is key to a really well setup car

Almost bought one but was thinking if I use this and get weight setup then use my setup station and was thinking it would change my weigh set up So I helt off on buy. I definitely know the feeling of wanting to get new stuff out in hope of going faster

I just bought myself 4 el cheapo scales from ebay, I think I paid like 35usd but this is cool and it does some nice calculations for you. Realistically though I only really want to know the left to right difference. I can calculate the bias with just some simple maths.... But yeah this is cool, I kinda wish I knew about it earlier
@MalcySP3 жыл бұрын
This looks like a great tool but it would have been nice to see the accuracy of the scales and even the consistency between each pad.
