+Felix Rivera I may have to rethink my tires/wheels setup now the body is complete. Its a lot heavier. Iv already added longer shackles, lift blocks, and relocated the shocks to try and lift it

I have the blazer as well and with a 2s or the factory battery the body does not want to sit down far enough to screw the body down. I ended up having to flip the rear interior mounts to get the interior to set a little higher up in the back. Is this normal because it looks a little strange with the seats that high now in the back. Great job btw. Looks fantastic.

Very nice job man. Your videos have inspired me to build one . I just got my trail finder and blazer body in the mail today I've got a lot of work to do . I was wondering that stuff you use to weather your rig is that something I could find at like a hobby lobby?
@RCeveryday
@RCeveryday 6 жыл бұрын
I havent seen the valejo products at my local hobby lobby, but my nearest hobby shop carries that brand products. There are so many ways to weather and I know hobby lobby has some real rusting products.

Would have been cool if they had of put the back seat in! Looking good!!!!! Wow the interior is a let down!!!! Is there any way of moving the dash up?
@RCeveryday
@RCeveryday 8 жыл бұрын
+James Clark Here is the way I raised the dash. kzbin.info/www/bejne/oZm4knlugbiUbKs Lots of different options to do it. I need to see what a factory rear seat looks like, might be a good addition. Thanks!

Would love to try tackling something like this, and build my first trail truck. your attention to detail is 2nd to none. If you don't mind me asking how much can in expect a truck like this to cost on average once completed?

Thanks Dave. This particular rig with all the extras not accounting for labor I have close to $1200 in. But its fun to start with the base kit and work your way up over time. The best thing you can spend money on to start with are the electronics. Holmes hobbies makes great affordable escs and motors. Spend big on a servo as well. The basic Trailfinder 2 with good electrics in it will give you tons of fun. Then you can add the details later.

Dave Minichino thanks for the quick reply, that's about what I figured. I use to be heavy into model cars/trucks and recently got into RCs with my son. have already done some motor upgrades and what not. but the scale trail trucks really interest me. love the videos, keep em coming. I know where to go if I have any questions. need to pick a starting point.

Dave Minichino I'm leaning toward the Vaiterra (probably spelled wrong) K5 kit, we had one when I was a kid and they have always been a soft spot for me.

Those chassis are very capable. Im just not a fan of the lexan bodies. But its definitely a great rig to start out with. And you can make a lot of hard bodies work on it later.
