Honda s2000 dyno tune on hondata flashpro before and after

With a test pipe or high flow cat for the AP2s you can get the VTEC cam to start coming on around 3800rpm and see the torque dip disappear. Using the Toda base map is a good starting point for those at home.

I believe you can adjust what rpm the VTEC comes on.

Yup, just got my ‘06 done this past week and the torque dip is gone. I’m running a RSG 76mm TP/ HKS 75mm single and air box mod. Did ‘06 Si coils with new spark plugs. Did a 20hp increase. The dyno was a mustang dyno so the gains were 25% off, overall it woke the car up!

Can the flashpro tune a stock AP1 computer or does Hondata need to be installed onto the computer first?

The flashpro is what allows you to install Hondata on the computer. It flashes the computer allowing you to tune.

Been out the game for a minute but isn't the f20 like the b18c5? It came maxed from the factory and doesn't respond well to bolt on's? That's what I always understood.

That wouldn't be a fair comparison for many reasons.

@@RCautoworks how? I only compared them in the fact they don't like bolt on's as they came "maxed" from the factory. I was always under the same impression that the f20 doesn't like bolt on's for the same reason. I know they are completely different engines. But the fact they may both not respond well to bolt on's is a relavent fact that can be used to compare them. Also plan on picking up an s2000 but haven't found one in the right color or price.

Neither statements are true both react well and gain power from bolt on parts paired up with a proper tune ( look back about 2 weeks ago on my last s2k video). The f series engines have a ton of downsides the opposite can be said for the b18c line of engines.

@@roostercake5437 all good 👍, the b18c5 was such a well rounded setup. My personal opinion is the f series was really a big miss and could of been designed better. I think there's a lot of what ifs when it comes to the f series engine.

Can you flash back and fourth for smog check?

Good question, depending on what modifications you have, you can and can't. Let's say you have bigger injectors, you would need to swap those back to stock before flashing it back to stock.

How could one tune with full bolt ons and catless exhaust?

It seems to boggle a bit when vtecs hit I did mostly everything except the fuel pump and the kpro It doesn’t have a cat and was straight piped by previous owner So it might be fuel pressure or the ecu making act funny when vtec hits

What mods do you recommend for the most power? I was thinking of getting a BALLADE SPORTS SEQUENTIAL TRI-Y HEADER but that's the only thing I have in mind. My 07 AP2 is completely stock but I currently have a Honda flash pro that I purchased a year ago. I have not flashed it since I have no mods and I believe it would be a waste of time if I tune it now since no mods have been added.

From what I've gathered over the years is that the stock header is just fine for NA applications, there's really no evidence showing significant gains from aftermarket headers, and they're expensive. Overall if you're not boosting you'll never see huge gains, but that's okay for many of us. Best bang for your buck without spending a lot is intake, HFC/TP, and exhaust. The flashpro with a tune would be the cherry on top since you already have it.

@@brianenzorojas6292 all depends what you start with. Every dyno is going to read different, some read high some read low. Get some baseline pulls before mods to see the actual gains afterwards
