Honestly I have to say that the aluminum chassis although 'seemingly' better on Arrma has been far worse for me than any plastic Traxxas chassis. Several bent Arrma's but never a snapped plastic Traxxas chassis.. For me at least the plastic has just been far more durable (flexible I guess). Maybe this new hybrid style chassis seems like it might be best of both worlds - adding stiffness and an easy to replace single flat plate to replace if it does actually bend rather than the whole chassis or at least without having to remove other parts.

It was really great to see traxxas finally come out with a totally newly engineered model, it's been awhile! As far as people saying it's an Aarma Kraton copy, that's just ridiculous. There are lots of truggies out there and lots of monster trucks, and lots of short course trucks etc. That all resemble each other. What makes them different is what is inside of them, and even then they still are similar. @@PetrolJunkie the sledge has a metal chassis and towers just like the EXB lol
@PetrolJunkie2 жыл бұрын
@@based_will Not even in the same league as the EXB. The EXB chassis looks like first year engineer designed it, which is why it tacos. No debris protection out of the box. The top brace is a tube which will bend easier than the Traxxas T bar. The angle supports are not reinforced at the chassis, that is another taco point. No reinforcement where the chassis narrows at the diffs, just a bent lip that isn't strong enough. Even the after market chassis can only go so far because the rest of the bits attached to the chassis limit what you can do to strengthen it. The Traxxas metal bit has better features that increase rigity and the plastic surround to make a tub. It also has a better bracing design, the T bar is a lot more ridged, and the towers look stronger. There are plastic angle braces that allow a certain amount of flex instead of creating pressure points for the metal to fold at. However, Traxxas left plastic where you'd want something to break to protect the more expensive bits. While using the metal chassis to create a low center of gravity. It's a much better design.

Americans have become incredibly lazy and don't even want to actually work. So who the hell is going to make all the stuff we consume? Well, eventually robots will. But for now it has to be somebody.

@@Shadows-RC I partially agree. Technology has progressed to a point that it allows people to be incredibly lazy. @@robertmedina3195 Wonder if Basherqueen or M2C will end up making carbon fiber or aluminum upgrades for this. Would be highly interested if BQ made a CF chassis/shock towers and all the other goodies to drop the weight a ton.
@robertmedina31952 жыл бұрын
@@ZeuZLoD I don't think she would make a chassis because I think she can only make parts out of flat stock but I'm not sure. It is going to need so many parts to lighten it up and it will still be very heavy after because of the super beefy drivetrain. However, every gram of weight that can be removed will help that's for sure.

FINALLY a basher with solid upper camber links. Exactly what every so called bashers should have regardless of any company. I think plastic is good for them but id like to see metal optional parts. M2C may make them or Vitavon. I think the wing looks a lot like a certain other company but im glad to see thats the only similarity. I like how the bell crank is very open as well as i find myself messing with bell cranks more than id like to.

Get outa here with that MSRP. Get rid of the "Traxxas" tax, add some 7075 and adjustable links to bring it up to snuff to market and price ACCORDINGLY! Proprietary hexes! c'mon.... Traxxas the Apple of RC's...SMH

Definitely not a copy. It's a basic truggy layout that's been used long before Arrma designed the kraton. Name one part that is exactly the same.

Great video as always Greg. Maybe I'm jaded, but I don't see anything special here? Is it because it's from Traxxas, the most overpriced and overrated name in RC? It's nice that Traxxas has finally showed up to the truggy party, but I just don't see anything that hasn't been done over and over already. TRX fan bois rejoice!!

This thing looks amazing. My E-Revo Brushless has been pretty bulletproof with RPM arms up front and true tracks in the rear and single high TQ servo conversion. My Achilles heel now is stripping spur gears on 6S. this thing looks like it would smash right through it with hardly a scratch.

The truck seems awesome, seems like they’ve fixed everything that they had wrong with their erevo 2.0….that I just bought, less than a year ago and put enough money and parts into that this comes with…out of the box. Either way, maybe that’s just a sign to buy this and not have to worry with ALL the repairs as the erevo needed. Thanks again for the review!

1st off!! Great Review!! You explained Everything in DETAIL !!! This New rig looks Stout out of the box. Comp is always welcomed!! Traxxas is getting into a Loaded field of Truggys!!! Personally I think they missed on the price point!! Arrma, Team Corrally, Losi, & Techno all come under 800$$ There are a Ton of upgrades for their platforms. Maybe Traxxas can squeeze in there with this offering. It's definitely a Cool rig. I'll wait and see if Rich DB or RC Dude81 get ahold of this and BEAT the breaks off it!! 😝 Great Review Again, Bash on from Colorado!!!

Only dependable one i own is my daughters senton 4x4 its a tank and kid proof stock lol.I was just about to pull the trigger on a team corally Kratos EXB but they are not instock. My favorite Rc of all time is my old school emaxx.
