Very well done. I have had one for about a year now and haven't flown it yet. I've watch a number of drone videos and wonder why everyone uses a phone with it. I just want to have fun flying around. Don't want to mess with a phone. Seems like it makes work out of it. I don't have a phone and am not going to get one just to fly a drone. I'm 79. You can't teach an old dog new tricks. You do the best job of anyone testing every feature and capability on these. I grabbed a rebranded F11 Pro on Amazon - Ruko F11 Gim - while it's about $70 more with 2 batteries, they sent coupon for a 3rd! Plus 1 day delivery, very excited to get flying. Only thing these lack is headless mode, which will force me to learn to fly properly as a beginner. Thanks for covering these in great detail - definitely one of the best budget drones.

I shaved off 77grams from the original 584 stock grams and ..wow amazing results. I am flying faster and my flight time increased. Great drone to work on, changed the propellers to 8inch ones that have a quieter sound and better efficiency. Upgraded the 5ghz antennas you'll enjoy a longer FPV distance they are easy to do and add a bigger remote battery because now you can fly longer on one battery. Enjoy, I certainly am.

Thanks :) Wifi is not very reliable even if it is 5G on this one. Try the F11S 4k pro. The wifi is good for 3km. It has a relay transmission to boost wifi.

How funny, I just posted something about my camera problem, but thought I was in an other page. So I went to my bookmarks where I saved my original viewing of 'yours' but realised it's the same! So I replayed your entire video and now can associate with many things you tried here as I experienced and learnt many of them. So thank you again. One question, somewhere you mentioned a distance of 900m so why the D for distance shows only 300 something? I was not so enthusiastic about that low battery return home and yes I noticed, (sometimes to my detriment) it kicks on at about 15 mins. mark. In my case I feel robbed of about 10 minutes flight because I keep moving with it. So I really have to watch that 'kick on' that is indicated by red lights blinking for a few seconds before it takes off to its last starting point. At a low altitude it may also head to a tree or even yourself if you're on its way before it soar up to the designated height it's set.

Good question. I believe by default it starts off in beginner mode so if flying with the remote solo without a smart phone, it will fly in the beginner mode. But if you set it to beginner mode with the app and fly it without the app, it will be in the beginner mode as well.

Agreed, one of the better gimbal equiped budget quadcopters out there right now! Until now, you would still see all sorts of jittering in the footage of these cheaper gimbal-quads, but this combo with EIS works pretty darn good. Kinda gives the Fimi A3 (which is much older but with better range) a run for its money. And appreciated that you use 'quadcopter' instead of 'drone' ;-)

I'm not sure about the EIS. I see on the video I took with it that when you move forward and the drone tilts forward so does the camera as well as banking etc... Of course it was below zero when we tested it so wasn't outside that long and I remember it had like a sports mode or something like that so there could be EIS I just don't remember. EDIT: As I recall it does not. I remember only an up and down feature with the camera.

The compass calibration definitely has to be done every time but the gyro doesn't necessarily needs to be done since the gps position keeps it hovering in one spot and will not drift but it is good practice to gyro calibrate since it also calibrates the gimbal and if you turn off gps and fly non gps mode it will help to fly level without drifting.
