The Smokies are usually rainy and foggy. Thanks for showing us the trail. Really makes me miss it. You don't want Noro. Be safe!

I was a part of the SWEAT crew for the ATC that completed about 15 miles of trail maintenance right there. It was between the tricorner shelter and pecks shelter...I hope it was still clear and well maintained. It was back in July 2015.

Do check out Charlies Bunion if you can make it back sometime in clear weather. The view is gorgeous.

Where is that exactly? Thanks
@philipthompson57968 жыл бұрын
+hotbam37 About 4.5 miles north of Newfound Gap in the Smokies on a short side trail off the AT. Easy hike.

Okay cool, I'll check it out next month

+hotbam37 There's another 'view' on the same hike called The Jump Off. Head north on the AT from Newfound Gap on your way to Charlies Bunion. At 2.7 miles the Boulevard Trail branches off to the left. Follow it for about a tenth of a mile to a sign and trail heading right to The Jump Off. It's a great view as well. Then backtrack to the AT and keep heading north to Charlies Bunion.

Real deal,good stuff guys.How are your rain jackets doing Ryan ? Are they keeping you dry or does rain eventually seep through ?
@RyanJohnsonAT20169 жыл бұрын
+HIKE RUN BIKE BUCK rain jacket is doing well, my arms get a little wet, but for the most part my core stays dry.
