I had to check the date of this video, TA02, what?! I am so happy brings me back to my younger high school days when I got my Toyota prerunner with that chassis then my TA02 Toyota Celia that is now mostly aluminum, which I still have both. I'll definitely be buying the re-release!

Nice,very nice.. i love the DTM and rally models from the early '90s... Just love it! This one is going in the collection i think.. Still have a Toyota Corolla WRC and the Mitsubishi EVO WRC nib from the '90s,i need to build them first if i find the courage. Have fun with the build✌️👍

The hole under the windshield is for a plastic wiper arm instead of a sticker. I always liked the extra details Tamiya includes to look more like the real thing.

The new 2020 Ford GT MkII has the wheel arches cut and body holes predrilled. I won one at the TCS race in California a few weeks ago.

I love the Calibra bodyshell, one of my brothers had a Calibra some years ago, really nice car. Never been a big fan of the TA-02 chassis really, but I do love the mix of colours. Look forward to seeing the build and running videos!!

My first touring car. I bought a bunch of Tamiya hop ups for it, full bearings, proline sedan hawg tires, Trinity Green Machine 2 and a hot SCR pack to do some parking lot racing. I ended up trading it for a Yokomo Yr-4 w/ 2 speed. Good times…

The dimple on the rear Windows is wheelbase the old am antena used to stick throuh. The other dimples is for the tao 3 chassis

I had one when it came out in 1995 and i painted it white as the instructions says but i was never happy with it. I felt it just looked very bland even with the vibrant decals. Having a second bite at it with the re-issue, i thought about pearl white or maybe silver. I had painted the 1/24 static kit silver with the yellow decals and that looked better i thought. This time i'm gonna paint it with PS-63 bright gum metal......whats the worst that can happen 🙈

It even comes with those horrid red gear casings the original had. I'm probably gonna spend the £34 ish to replace them with the silver molded parts. I know.....i'm a mug !!!!! I'm terrified to count up what i'm into this for so far. A bearing set, a set of TRF dampers and a 3.5t 10.000kv tamiya transpeed monster. There's a thought Gavin...If you want to do a review of the Tamiya 3.5t brushless motor with a hobbywing ESC let me know. I'll cover the postage down and back to me so it wont cost you a coin if it's something that interests you. I've no idea what you would try it in as it's scary enough just running it on the bench 🙉 Genuine offer though if it helps you with content for your channel. Keep up the good work 👍👊

You could also paint them with Tamiya TS lacquer paint; it adheres well so long as abrasion is avoided.

@@bravo0105 Hay joe, thanks for taking the time to post your suggestion. I'm guessing Tamiya static kits may also be a passion if your that knowledgable about the TS spray cans. If so this may be of interest. intscalemodeller.com/viewtopic.php?f=39&t=29175&start=70 I have enough c/f decal left over to sink a battle ship so i was considering doing the gear casings in that with a 2k clear finish.

Overall, mostly "nice"...but, I have a feeling that a lot of people will not be happy with the "Swiss cheese" body - WAY too many holes.
