Selling a $4 dollar cowbell for $30? YOU MY SIR ARE A MARKETING GENIUS

Considering how much work/time went into it I would say that hand crafted cowbell is very cheaply priced.
@drummingdude988 жыл бұрын
+plokmijn47 He got it for $4 from Harbor Freight.
@rdavidr8 жыл бұрын
Keep in mind that basically all cowbells are made with less than $4 worth of steel... So no matter where you buy from your just paying for labor.

+rdavidr Makes sense. What's your favorite cowbell?

uh oh, lance is turing into a safety troll! lol. The guard snapped on that dewalt so I got a new one for cutting disks and the dewalt is now dedicated to flap disks.

i had one break on me a few weeks back. i was wearing a face sheild and it hit the shield right where my left eye would no longer be. Lance is right man!!!

No pics or links but this is RIGHT up you and your channel's alley!... I used to "Sanford n' Son" up super cheap and easy percussion accessory mounts to my hi-hat stand (or any cymbal stand I guess but it seems to work best on HH stand)... 1) steel rods/dowels from the hardware store thick enough to be able to mount standard cowbell/tambourine/jamblock sized mounts. 2) hose clamps wide enough to fit around you HH stand (we're talkin' below the actual HH, not on the rod) 3) vice 4) pliers, vice grips, man hands or tool of choice for bending the rod in 2 spots to make it work 5) Use 2 or more hose clamps (depending on how far down you made your first bend) to attach to HH stand 6) The first bend makes the angle to where you want the thing to reach to (of course shorter distances work best, less wobbly) 7) 2nd bend is to make it go upright again to mount your piece(s) of choice! 8) La-la-la-la-la-la Bamba! It actually used to work quite awesome with lighter weight stuff like smaller cowbells, tambourines or jamblocks! Please make a vid for my nostalgia's sake and everyone else's delight! Cheers from DDS!

David, re your welder problems, I used to have similar issues even though the wire feed seemed fine and the ground was clean. Try changinging the liner that the wire runs through, it can get kinked from repetitive use. So when you hold the trigger with it facing up it seems fine but when you weld in your normal position it may be catching in a kink. Take off the shroud, tip and adaptor to pull out the lining and it should be obvious if there is a kink. Hope this help, awesome videos.
@slprhooptie8 жыл бұрын
for the welder change the tip and shield if you havnt. dobbers can get in there and act like it's ground prematurely

Hey, saw that you were having welder issues. Try opening up your gas a little. Idk if you're using CO2 or Argon. Maybe that would help a little.
@matthewszostek18197 жыл бұрын
the difference is probably in the metal quality. I'm sure HF used a very plastic untempe tempered low carbon steel...which would eat vibrations for breakfast lunch and dinner. you might try tempering it like a knife blade to turn it into tool steel. it should ring better then.

If the lead of the gun is tangled or your holding it at to sharp of an angle the wire will get stuck in the lead.
@rdavidr8 жыл бұрын
Its not a physical problem. its not completing the arc completely, the wire will come out fine but when it hits the metal itll just keep coming out without any weld action going on.
@Quickerfixerupper8 жыл бұрын
+rdavidr what your describing sounds like a ground problem, but I'm not there, and without me actually touching the machine I can't give you a clear diagnosis. if it's not that the next step would be to look at your (amps) or wire feed speed, if your running to fast it won't strike the arc and you will just end up burning back a 1\2 in of wire with no result, at that point your can either turn up your volts to match your speed or turn down your speed to match your burn rate.

I suspect welding stops the resonance of the metal, in the same way that cutting a slice out of a drum or cymbal would do. Yes? Perhaps do another Harbor Freight cowbell, but this time cut a chunk of scrap wood to fit inside the bell before doing the hammering.... Then get kids in band class to do the hammering..... Then take it back to Harbor Freight for a refund.
