I say they both sound better than mine, my n/a engine has a turbo still in the box waiting to be installed. Thinking about it I still have to stud the head down and tear into the engine a little deeper first. Have all those parts too, in boxes. One day I can say what sounds good and what does not. Both for the win! Turbo noises!!

The turbo doesn't do any "work" the noise is just air flow. That is the dumbest argument I've seen in a while. It's a free spinning part. Ot makes noise. It's not "working" to do anything It's just pushing air by using exhaust gas flow.

@yensive826 that is completely different logic. The wheel doesn't work to spin. It multiplies Rotational energy. A turbo and a wheel are 2 separate functions. A wheel does not use a set of blades to use exhaust gas to propel itself. The turbo is just making more noise because the fan blades are different. Your logic is broken and dumb. Please sign up for some engineering and design classes, or idk, maybe actually build a turbo diesel. There are tractor pull trucks that use 4 and 5 blade turbos. For a reason. A 10 or 9 blade will take longer to spool then, say, a stock turbo which is usually between 13 and 18 blades. It's not necessarily working harder. The words you are looking for would be "slower to spool up" or "slower to build boost" because both would be true.
