Also interested where you ride in North Yorkshire, as I’m in North Yorkshire too.

55'000km now, no issues, zero, 2020 Bs4 model Edit: My bike was owned by a less active rider for the first 3 years and 16'000km in the last 9 months i ve done 39'000km and realized they had overheard the rear brake recall this bike was a member off i had that done, but the rear brake was fine without it, too. just to be safe. Since owning the bike, i run YSS rear shock, stiffer springs on the front, the stage 2 air filter kit, a low zard exhaust and an idle adjust to 1100rpm. EBC brake discs front and rear and sintered pads, a single HPE REGINA 525 chain and a set of steel sprockets for 40'000km, still fine. I ride every day in every weather, -8 to +40°C

Would be interested to know more about the grease nipple mod for the steering head bearings.
@Leafster19734 ай бұрын
Quite straightforward, drilled the steering tube to take in an M5 thread, and inserted a grease nipple. Then pump grease into the steering tube, the first try, will take a lot of grease as the tube will need to be filled, keep pumping until grease starts to come out of the steering bearings.

Thanks for the update was wondering if you’d sold it in favour of the bigger bike! Can you post some more maps of where you go around Yorkshire like you did with rudland rigg? I’ve found a few but could do with trying some more

A good review thank you. Mines at 20k now and still enjoying it a lot. Saw recently Cooperb say they replace the cam chain at 24k not sure I’ll do mine at that as I do the oil and filers quite regularly wondered if you have considered replacing yours. I can’t imagine not having a Himmy and it’s good Hitchocks have a ton of spares.

@@yellownev Thank you, and thanks for pointing out about the cam chain. I'll look into this as a winter project 👌👍

Only 24000,,,Pah just getting runin..... Iv been down to south spain and romania,,,my old girl is knocking on the door of 40thou...and even though I do,nt get off road much,,, she does not hang around... My bike weeps oil on the left side from those head bolts ,,it looks naff but I do,nt care,,, I,v never had wheel bears go or rear suspension links,,, last Oct I went riding during the floods ,,and went in deep ,over the front wheel ,,, I did damage to the coil and wiped out my new power commander (£400) the bike got me home then died,,airbox was full of water ,your mods are not a bad idea... I have yss front and back ,,they get a thumps up from me.. I,m now runnin my bike on a stock ECU with a Big bore kit,,its not recommended , I too have a tec cam ,,it does not suit me ,,I do not to rev my bike over 5000... I like the bike and hope to keep for another few yrs,,, I doubt anybody will make a Long stroke motor like this ever again...regards

Thank you for your comment and feedback. Interesting to read that you don't like the big bore conversion. I'm thinking about sourcing a spare barrell and piston for future needs but will probably stay 411 stock size. Keep riding and safe travels 😊

@@Leafster1973 Sorry just to caliph,, The Big bore kit is good ,but with the power commander it works out quite expensive,,My power commander got flooded and is not working ,,so I,m runnin my bike with the big bore but on stock ECU which is not recommended.The tec cam I also have fitted does not really suite my riding style...Saying all that ,,,I now had it all fitted at least two years about 25000 miles ,,so its all bedded in and running really well.. I kept the old piston and cylinder ,,but you are not havin it,,,regards

Nice, I own a 2024 bs6 411, and i’m tempted to trade for the new one. Would you do it? trade for the 450?
@Leafster1973Ай бұрын
The 450 looks nice, but I'm sticking with my 411. Easy to service, more rugged and still love riding it.
