Wow, I have original Philips CDs and I always thought De Los Angeles sang in the 1961 Festival and Anja Silja sang in the 1962 one. What's this one here?! Thanks a lot!!! 😘

I'm new to this, and I promise I am not trolling the channel or the other commenters, but why Re-pitch? Please explain, I really would like to understand. Thank you.

If you playback tapes at a different speed as when they were recorded it will change the pitch, so this has to be corrected to return to correct pitch and duration. Furthermore, many tapes machines' speed varied during the recording process, which complicates matters even further. It means pitch and speed often changes and drifts throughout a recording.
