I love the fact that BTS are able to let each member shine for different releases - videos, stages, songs you name it - is very rare. They have the ability to highlight each of their talents and assets. There is actually a huge correlation between someone noticing a certain member instantly and the first video they watched of BTS - it really depends a lot. For example many people fell for Jungkook in "Dope" or Jimin in "Blood Sweat and Tears" ETC. And the more they learn about BTS they realize that BTS doesn't have a front man because they always swith it up - which is actually incredible. Even though Namjoon is the "leader" he is not permanently in the spotlight, neither is Jungkook who is actually their "center main vocalist/dancer". This definitely is the case because BTS are humble enough and love each other so much that they are able to let everybody be "center" or let everybody be "leader" depending on the situation and concept. They didn't fall into the trap of getting manipulated by voices that tried to push certain members into the spotlight.

Hi, I want to share my story of how I met BTS. I am a 39-year-old mother, when I am going to leave my daughters at school I listen to the radio one day I heard this same song Mic Drop but with Desiigner, I added it to my list of songs, before this my older daughter had already spoken to me from BTS, but I never saw any mv of them. So one day we were in the car and I put my song list and Mic Drop plays, my older daughter turns her head and says Do you like BTS? I asked her who? She says BTS ! That song is BTS. When we arrived home she put the Mic Drop mv ... and my mouth was open, it was the beginning of everything ... now I love BTS there is no single day that I don’t heard there music , I saw EVERYTHING about his past songs and my mind exploded. I don’t consider myself as an ARMY but I support them and love them . I don’t have bias ( because they can be my children 🤣) But Namjoon for me is the most interesting because he reminds me my husband in some way.Thanks 💜 P.D. It was totally the same for me, when it comes to Jimin. He's my bias as well, but I didn't get into bts until late 2019 so I didn't even notice him in this. It was Tae and RM who stood out the most to me in Mic Drop. Jin too but that's mainly because the rest had such an interesting hip-hop look and, lets be real, he's just so damn handsome and princely looking that he didn't fit the narrative I was building in my head about them. After I had well and truly joined the army fam, I went back and watched all of their mv's from the beginning to now. I love going back to the mv's that peaked my interest, bs&t and probably fake love. I said it months ago, but I knew seeing you go back to revisit this video would be great. If there's one thing I really love about BTS it's that it's not a group where only one member shines. There are songs where the rap line stands out and the vocal line in others, and that's great, since they are all talented and incredible. I think thanks to this, BTS shines even more, because they all complement each other very well. Regarding the bias, I think it is the perspective of each person, my bias is Jimin and from the first time I saw him, he captured my attention and it is impossible to resist him, that beautiful man has a very special aura. Anyway, all the guys are really cool, I hope ARMY support and respect each and every one of them. Namjoon, Jin, Yoongi, Hobi, Jimin, Taehyung and Jungkook deserve our full support.

My love for BTS started with Mic Drop too, I saw the Spring Day MV which got my attention prior, but I didn't dive deep at that time, and then I saw Mic Drop and I fell in love: the sound, the intensity, their synergy was shining so bright I got hooked! RM also stood up for me when first watching this MV, guess I somehow sensed that he is the leader of the group, and I was like many many Armys "oh let me just learn their names"... :)))) and down I went to this Wonderland of BTS... and now love their diverse art and their messages, and generally appreciate them as people, who show by example, that different people through communication can band together, and that kind and decent people through hard work and dedication can achieve something so magnificent.

I love this reaction, as well as the first one. Dynamite was the first BTS song I ever saw. Then I watched others. In Muc Drop I was captivated by my bias, JK, Hobi and Suga. Thank you for this, DT! I found myself reminiscing as well because I remember exactly when I watched this original video of your first BTS reaction. Again, I found it comical when you were trying to find a star amongst these 7 stars.. But I could really relate to what you were trying to say. BTS was my first introduction to kpop. I was so used to western boy bands that I started out by watching a couple of their mvs and then found myself saying, “oh let me just watch a quick guide/introduction to BTS to figure out all their names and pick the one I like the most” ...and that’s where I fell down the rabbit hole. My first impression on MIC DROP MV~~IS D.O.P.E. The rappers stood out for me. I remembered that my heart was stumpped following that beat. Jhope's intro swaggered towards my heart dragging me to the edge if the cliff. Then Suga came in with his swag. I already picked out Suga back then cause I had an impression of him because of Agust D's The Last. The thing with BTS is that EVERY single member is extremely popular, there is NOT any member who stands out more than the others. They all have different style and they all shine in their areas, they all have their own individual records. The only thing different is the age demographic that each member captures. Personally I have noticed that Hyung line has older fans , I saw statics in one articles that Jin is really popular amongst older ladies after 20s and the rap line is really popular between between guys. The Maknae line is relatively more popular amongst the young crowd. Even tho older fans don’t engage as much as younger fans on KZbin or social media but they always support the members in their own way by streaming their songs and buying their merch . BTS would not have been as popular as it is now if even one of the member was missing because they all bring something big to the table and hold their own position.
